Thanks for the info...I've done South Beach before too and really liked it, I'm still mainly on it but I need to get the sugar out again and get strict with what I'm eating again. I did count calories but not very closely, I just did it to make sure I was eating enough actually. Good luck to u!

I will be starting something similar, I will be doing more of the South Beach phase 1. I start on January 1st. I was sugar free, and ate no fruit or carbs for a few months last year and lost a ton of weight. I then had back issues that ended up being Fibromyalgia and Peripheral Neuropathy (severe nerve damage) so I…

I use both unsweetened Almond milk and cows milk...I use almond milk in my smoothies because cow's milk has so much sugar, and with two smoothies a day and coffees etc the sugar adds up really fast. I don't like the taste on it's own though, If I'm having a glass of milk I drink cow's milk.

Ive been on Cymbalta for about a month now for Peripheral Neuropathy, it says it may decrease appetite and I think it does. From what Ive read it makes you lose weight not gain.I havent gained from it.

I've used it, makes you feel good, great for the skin but I don't think it boosted my weight loss any and I went to 20+ sessions

You know I thought the same thing, I'd even stopped looking. I just happened to go on Plentyoffish one day because I had a message (from a loser lol) and noticed a cute guy in my matches...I took a chance and messaged him, and we'll be together 4 months on the 17th! I'd been single for years before this, I just had to wait…

I'm insanely ticklish too, I was worried about that too but there's something different about massage. Nomally I can't sit still and get goosebumps everywhere when someone touches my back but with massage I'm ok so it might be worth a try for you too. And what you're doing sounds like a great start, good luck!

I would go and get a massage on your legs and ask the therapist for some good stretches, it's worth it even for one visit. I just got my legs and glutes done the other day to relieve some of the pulling on my back from being so tight and it has helped me.

Funny, I have herniations in L5 and S1 myself!! Careful about what you do, biking is a NONO according to my Dr, the bent position puts pressure on the discs and can increase your chances of blowing them. My Dr says swimming with not too much hip movement is good, walking and I've been carefully doing the elliptical.…

If I make them I use whole wheat tortillas and it's super good!

Thanks for all of the info, I have PCOS and find that a low carb high protein diet works best for me too. I'm struggling to get back to it since going to Cuba, the sugar is killing me. I have to be tough for about a week until I get over it and I'll be fine, It's just getting there that's the issue! Reading this and the…

I get that really bad too, when it gets to be too much I get off and walk around and shake my feet for a minute until the blood starts flowing again. Good luck!

I've got a couple quick ones. I use bean vermicelli instead of pasta in spaghetti, I also use it in my stir fry and now add spinach and green pepper to my sauce (I never used to). When I get a sub at Subway I make sure that they put the meat on the top and I rip the whole top of the bun off lol! I look like a bit of an…

Wow, that's brutal! Sorry you've had to deal with that abuse. Don't pay attention to them, you are doing great. Tell em all to shove it!

I find the same thing, the heart rate monitor is way more accurate than the machine because you put your height and weight in and it follows your heart rate.

She is saying the deficit should be less than 1000, not your calories. For example, If you need 2300 calories to maintain your weight, you subtract from that to lose weight. So she is saying that if you need 2300 cals to maintain a day, you should eat no less than 1300 calories a day, if not more. Hope this helps.

You look fantastic!!

Congrats  You could always take it to a tailor and get them to take it in, it doesn't cost as much as a new dress does

The more muscle you have the more calories you burn, so you lose weight quicker...also, if you strength train you will be nice and toned as you get smaller and not end up skinny fat. I can see where he is coming from, sorry.

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
