I think of liposuction as more of cosmetic surgery than "weight loss." And I think it's a perfectly valid procedure... as we all know, you can't spot reduce. Some people might have just a little extra fat on their hips or tummy but they are otherwise 100% content with their rest of their body. Having it sculpted by a knife…

Because our society treats them differently. I do not agree with this assertion. Neither do I. But that's not the same as being naive enough to believe that everyone else feels the same way.
-
Wait... so doesn't that mean you are slamming people who are being judgmental about people being judgmental?

Thank you for posting this.

Unexpected thread is unexpected! Glen Frey.

 If that were true, nobody would be overweight.

You asked why there was a difference. I just told you why there was a difference. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish other than to be argumentative. Are you really going to suggest that it's just as socially acceptable (in the U.S anyway) for a 12-year old boy to wear make-up as a 12-year old girl??
-
And yet true, apparently
-
A girl wearing make-up with pierced ears has no worry of ridicule or scorn. A boy, on the other hand.... for good or bad, does.
-
The other day I saw a two year old boy with pierced ears. No joke. I couldn't believe it.

I'm guessing you're not a parent...

And there "ain't gonna be no rematch"

Are you done with the personal attack? Jesus. "your opinion of the man is moot" "your opinion doesn't matter" "Your dislike for his music is irrelevant." Yeah, got it.

Perhaps the most overrated "artist" of the 20th century: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HBIjxUT_uc But we could go on like this all day...

... with a Presidential Medal of Freedom. I mean.... come on.... Bob Dylan???

For the record, I voted for Obama. I'm still waiting to see the health care negotiations put on C-SPAN...

Yeah.

Maybe I'm naive, but I think there is a larger segment of Islam represented by groups like al Qaeda and Hamas than Christianity is represented by Westboro. It's probably impossible to quantify... so that's just my opinion, for good or bad.
-
I would argue the third springs from the first two.

I agree.

I have been either enlisted or a DoD civilian working with the military for 16 years. I would like to know about this "permanent record" that influences promotion, because I've never heard of such a thing.

The Democrats took over Congress in 2006... two years before Obama took office. It's funny how Bush continues to get blamed for everything that happened while Pelosi and Reid were running Congress. And the Dems controlled the White House, Senate (with a supermajority), and House of Reps from 2008 to 2010. The idea that it…

Ok I'll bite... just don't flame me without actually reading what I've written please :flowerforyou: I'm not crazy about the spread of Islam. I wouldn't object to a mosque being built in my town - our first amendment protections are pretty clear. But I can understand the hostility. Islam has some pretty offensive tenets.…

"...your body breaks down fats into glycerol and fatty acids in the process of lipolysis. The fatty acids can then be broken down directly to get energy, or can be used to make glucose through a multi-step process called gluconeogenesis. In gluconeogenesis, amino acids can also be used to make glucose."…

That's so perfect I wish I had thought of it first!

Hmmm... well in that case I could make the argument that people who put all of their food in a blender and eat it as soup will lose more weight because of molecular changes caused by blah blah blah.... if I don't have a controlled study that backs me up, what good is it?

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with both of those points... I do not believe he is either a "stand up guy" nor was his apology remotely sincere.
