  • Working from home! Just had lunch and walked the dog, now back to it for the afternoon
  • Today was an empire biscuit with an oat milk coffee- not a regular breakfast by any means but in a rush and it needed used up!
  • Hello! Apologies for such a late reply, i've just seen your message. I mainly use the app version of mfp so am rarely on the forums etc I've sent you a friend request, feel free to add me! Kudos on the studying on top of everything else, I feel your pain as I'm currently doing a professional qualification through work, on…
  • Apparently so! I don't know at what point your membership is considered 'ancient', so yeah lovely surprise lol So far I have not had too many peri symptoms, but definitely noticing changes to skin and hair texture and my poor eyes are so dry now i need drops in them. My main exercise currently is walking and with a puppy…
  • And you have already sent me a friend request so we are connected!
  • Hi! Thanks so much for your reply, I am mainly on the app so rarely login on the main site. It would be lovely to have some more friends who are active on here, my aim is to track macros and keep within a calorie deficit but there are days it goes well and days it doesn't lol I will send you a friend request
  • Yeah, the interweb has always been a odd place at time but the pandemic definitely did a number on people! And yes, I ballooned during all the lockdowns and am only now starting to shift it and get back on track. I will send you a friend request
  • Hi! Sorry for the delayed response, I hardly ever login on my laptop - have sent you a friend request now!
  • Just found this group and would like to join! I will be 42 in July and am rapidly approaching 14stone (196lbs) which is the absolute heaviest I have ever been in my life. I am 5'5 tall and carry my weight mainly between my waist and my knees, feel disgusting and sluggish and even my 'big' stretchy clothes no longer fit. I…
  • I've been on here for a while now but could always do with more support and encouragement! I lost around 3 stone (40ish pounds) about 5 years ago and maintained for ages, but in the last 18 months have seen it s-l-o-w-l-y creep back on again. I want to reverse the trend and get back to where I was when clothes fitted no…
  • For me it can vary a bit but generally speaking it's the ol' chocolate/carbs combo - gotta have it no matter what! Other times it's less specific but just a general I-am-so-hungry-I-will-keep-eating-and-eating-and-never-be-full, so not sure which one is worse tbh. I have found that upping my protein does help, I either…
  • Yep, probably my biggest problem too - especially when I am trying to study. I know I'm not hungry but once that packet is open I just have to keep going till its empty.... So I try not to buy any snack stuff or have any in the house. Some weeks are better than others!
  • You can add me - I cook from scratch most of the time. Weekends are probably my danger zone but i am trying to limit this as much as possible!
  • 5'5" Highest weight: 190ish (it was a bit higher than this but I refused to weigh myself at my heaviest so lost a bit first then took my weight) Current weight: 159 Goal weight: 140 I have UC so with the medication I have to take have had times where I puff up like a balloon - have learned over time that increasing my…
  • I got tired of being 'the fat sister' - my brothers have never had weight issues and both their lovely wives are naturally small girls, even after having my nieces & nephews. Horribly unflattering pics of me with the kids just highlighted how bad things had got and then health problems sealed the deal. I have UC and…

  • You sir deserve a round of applause for all your hard work! Inspirational, such a fantastic transformation - be proud of your achievement and enjoy it, you have definitely earned it!
  • weigh everything! You will be surprised how much you over/under estimate what a 'portion' is. Reading more labels can be educational to - a so-called recommended serving size can differ a great deal from what you feel a standard portion size should be

  • Great stuff! That's a fantastic achievement, keep the momentum going and you will definitely see another 10lb gone by Christmas :)

  • Personally I prefer to eat after exercise - just make sure I'm well hydrated during my workout. I have had times where I feel a bit light-headed or in need of extra energy, then i have a small pot of yogurt or like others have said, some banana. Just see what works for you - if in doubt make sure you have a piece of fruit…
  • wow, you have done an amazing job - well done and best of luck for the rest of your journey!

  • I had a go of slimming world this time last year after seeing a girl in my work use it to successfully drop ten stone (she is still maintaining which is fantastic!) I signed up initially for their 12 week thing and followed the extra easy plan to start with but did also try the red/green option. I didn't find it hard to…
  • I basically ate through all of December like the world was ending, so when I weighed in after New Year I'd put on 5lb - I've had a bit of a struggle since coming back from hols in September though, so I'd already gone up by 5lb before the festive blowout! All in, I started the new year 10lb heavier than I was before I went…
