I agree with HelenDootson - you should get a free induction anyway, and in a lot of gyms you can speak with the fitness instructors who will help you develop a workout regime for free. The ones that will charge you are the personal trainers, though often they will do a first-session-free as a sortof taster. If you are…

I am right in that boat with you - did great last year until I went on holiday at start of september. Since then I managed to maintain for a few weeks then it got darker and colder and the weight has started creeping back on......I've basically been eating like the world was ending for the whole of December! Re-measured,…

Add me to this group please! I have spent the last month eating like the world was gonna end and this is the perfect way to get back into my fitness regimen - back in the summer I managed to work my way up to 12-15,000 steps every day but have been struggling to hit more than 5000 each day. I start back at work on the 3rd…

There have been a lot of replies already but just wanted to add mine! I've been on MFP for a while and have managed to shift about 20lbs - have been more or less maintaining though for the last 3/4 months and going round in a circle putting on and losing same 3-4lbs I could do with some new friends who will help with…

Just gonna add my tuppence worth, though I think everyone else has pretty much covered it all! I love love love my food too, so here's what I try to stick to:- - have plenty salad/veg and smaller portion of the 'good stuff' - don't deprive yourself - but keep logging as you go, I find this makes me more mindful of what i…

Well done on all your hard work and effort! You talk a lot of sense for anyone trying to lose a bit of weight and get fitter, regardless of how much they want to lose/achieve. I have been in a bit of a funk recently and your post really helped to remind me where my focus should be - looking forward not back!

I'm over on sugar every single day - but as a lot of other folks have said, I eat a lot of fruit which throws this number out quite a bit. I hadn't thought of swapping this out and tracking something else instead like fibre, but will have a play about and see about changing this

You look amazing - and so happy now! Well done :)

Just to add my tuppence worth, I have started doing dvds at home myself and had some good results - started with 30 day shred and now halfway through 6 week 6 pack, both are jillian michaels workouts. I bought a boxset so have another 2 dvds of hers to work through, no more trouble zones and another I can't remember name…

Welcome to the gang! As the others have already said, sounds like you have UC to me. All is familiar, especially the mucus, gas and bloody stools - the joys! I have been diagnosed for about 8years now, but with hindsight I think I have been symptomatic probably closer to 10 years or more. Mine is also chronic (as opposed…

I just recently completed 30DS and only took one rest day between levels 2 & 3 You are meant to work through the 30 days all in a row I think without resting if you possibly can! I found that one day off was enough for me to be ready for the final push :)

bumping so i can find this topic again, been considering a HRM for a while - need to do some research!

bumping so i can find this again when I'm looking for new stuff!

I say do it - got mine at 22 and I'm 34 now One thing I will say though, the positioning of it can make a massive difference and it's all to do with the veins in your tongue - that's why some folk do it and it sits really close to the front of their mouth and is really visible, whereas in others it sits much further back…

bumping so i can find this again - thanks!!

Just gonna add my tuppence worth - I keep logging. Even when things have been really bad, I will log back in and put in everything, good bad and ugly. For me, it has helped see just how much I am packing away when I do that (gulp!) but it has also helped me pinpoint the sorta stuff I tend to choose to binge on too. It…

courgettes and aubergines (eggplant) - bleurgh! it's a texture more than a taste thing same goes for melon, of any kind

It might be worth googling to try to find email details for the company CEO, press office etc and then send your email to them directly - probably a better chance of getting a response and also of something being done at the store in question. Worth a shot!

Oh I didn't know there was an app for calculating cals burned for her DVDs - will need to give that a look! At the minute I'm doing 30DS and I just use my fitbit to track what I burn
-
Completed day 2, the press ups kill me - i have no upper body strength :( 28 days to go!!!
-
I've been reading about 30DS on MFP for a little while now, just got the DVD myself and started this morning - so far so good! Bit of motivation to keep it going would be nice so count me in :)
