YES. this. My favorite thing (sarcasm) is when people just sit and text on a bench or machine. It's like HELLOOOO either use it or leave. I want it! Other than that, I agree completely. I like most people at the gym!

keep at it. sometimes your body takes time to adjust. plus, most experts recommend you lose 1-2 lbs per week anyway, so it seems like you're exactly where you should be! i know it's hard to be patient with these things when you feel like you're working so hard and want immediate results, but it's much better to be slow and…

HAHAHAAHAH omg this is HILARIOUS!

A professional said this? OMG they need to lose their license!!!

there are plenty of shakes that do not require peanut butter. do a little research on the internet and you will surely find some. maybe buy a nice whey protein, or consider using egg whites or other protein sources. good luck! and ps. NEVER force yourself to eat things you don't like. you need to enjoy your food in order…

i felt confident in my clothes :)

YES. THIS. ^^^^ Hi, I wake up an hour earlier than I need to for class/work so that I have time to work out. And if I happen to sleep in? I GO LATER. sheessssh people. But you can't just expect an extra hour to appear in the middle of the day. :/ hahaha good one!

I don't even get it. such a strange comment!!

i hate when people say "how???? i'm jealous" --- if you're working as hard as i am and not seeing any results, then i totally understand if you're jealous.... but when you eat nothing but crapola and refuse to make time for exercise and THEN complain about your body? eat healthfully most of the time, eat less healthfully…

for me, using the C25K app was the best fitness decision ive ever made. i went from not being able to run for more than 3 minutes to being able to do 35-40 minutes. working on increasing time even more. :))) i would definitely recommend it. good luck!

well, the only real way to decrease it is with total body fat loss. i do not intend to say that doing endless ab crunches will magically make it disappear, but i know people often only work their upper abs with standard crunches and moves like that, which dont help the lower pooch. try doing a crunch instead where you lay…

TOTALLY agree. Go for a nice walk with a friend or relative maybe... always helps me :)
-
!!!!!!!!! you are AWESOME!!!!!! love reading stories like this. i call that a NSV. GO YOU :)
-
a little soreness = good real pain or an injury = bad i say push through, you got this!!! p.s. stretch, stretch, stretch!!! i can always tell the day after a work out when i don't stretch sufficiently :/

spinach protein shakes. i drink them once or twice a day and they're fantastic, but no one believes me!

<3 you Mandy. Great post to share. You are so inspirational and we, your loving MFP friends, are so proud of you. :))
-
I was having similar thoughts... a lot of people notice but dont want to offend you and will just stay quiet instead. but you are on a ROLL and doing amazingly well so far! all your peers on MFP are happy and proud for you so keep at it! feel free to add me, if you like, since we're close in age (i'm 20) and have lost a…

you can TOTALLY see it! you look ABSO-FRICKEN-LUTELY fantastic :)

i'm happy to do upper body and core strength before cardio, but since my main form of cardio is running i find that if i work hard on lower body, like squats and lunges etc first then i don't have as good of a run. i also dont heavy lift every day, where i usually go for a run 6 times a week i do agree though with what…

I will definitely have to look for some of these apps! :) Sounds like they could be helpful!

This feels like high school self-evaluations when the teachers used to make us report on how we think we did and we never wanted to come across like we are overconfident, but also didn't want to come across like we were underconfident! But, I guess I'd agree with the OP and say I'm an 8.5 ?

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be snippy. It just seemed like you were jumping at me, but perhaps I misread the way you intended the post :/ Sometimes these message boards end up getting harsh and judge-y which can be discouraging for everyone and maybe I just assumed too quickly that your message was like that. I just was…

I have been working out (running and lifting) on my own for a couple months and eating well and have lost 23 lbs so far and am more than halfway towards my goal. Very proud of my achievements so far. I just wanted to use this device to help monitor mileage and caloric burn. No need to put me down for continuing to improve…

just gonna bump this so maybe someone sees it...... if anyone knows about it i would really appreciate some info!

yes. this. cucumber slices are nice, too. adds a "spa like" quality.
-
perhaps your body has gotten used to the type of exercise? some people say it is helpful to mix it up a bit. i like to add some running intervals or hill intervals with walking! also, perhaps lifting some weights might help you. hopefully others will have some more comments too. i know how frustrating this can be! good…
-
bump, i'd like to see what others say too... i usually try to do 1 minute more than when I think I really can't do any more! I usually get through that minute hah curious what others say!
-
^^^^ HAHAHA. I agree, though. TIme spent intentionally exercising = exercise. Time spent doing household stuff we need to do anyway does not = exercise.
-
^^ THIS. I like to be active. Time spent INTENTIONALLY exercising, I log. If i happen to decide to do more, great. The scale will probably reflect it. But this is about a LIFESTYLE change. Our lives should be naturally active, plus some extra time spent working towards our goals..... I don't mean to be preachy, I just…

could be the shock of it! hahaha well, whatever the case, i am glad that you are pleased :) when you're feeling well though make sure you are eating and exercising and you will continue to be successful!
