I also quit, but for I did it five years ago..all I can tell you is that if you get a craving for a cig just find something to do for like five minutes because the craving only about that much at least it did for me :-) good luck !

I'm also from Maryland & it's just something I've / we've grown up with :-)

Turned 50 last December, but I also gained alot of weight due to the change of life and other things... I started walking everyday and watching what I was eating counting calories and it seems to be working for me...I watch my carb intake for sure :-)

The heart monitor that I have is a watch, hrm, and keeps track of the calories I burn, my husband found it on amazon for about $30 hope this helps :wink:

245 days means that is how long I've join this site....I was worried also about having things hanging too.....thanks again :)

I've been at MFP for about 245 now, I did however discover when the scale wasn't being very nice to me with dropping down that's when I noticed I was losing inches instead...I've gone from a size 12 down to a size 4 in my pants :) shirts from an xxl to a L-M depending on how it is cut
