Hey! I'm currently training to be a PT, but have been training clients for the last 9m. I generally send out at least a few messages a week to clients to see how they are doing. If they seem to benefit I keep going and may even up the messages…if they seem to prefer just a session with me, that's fine too. I believe that…

Thanks for your ideas! @Athenasurrend: To be honest healthy is just healthy….I don't believe in cutting out food groups completely though I do get clients with various goals to change the amount they are having of certain food groups if that makes sense. In terms of recipes, we tend to use a traffic light system for meals…

Crunches and sit ups are 2 exercises which people often do in order to try and get themselves the flat stomach. Unfortunately it's not as simple as that. In order to get a flat stomach, you need to lower your body fat because the fat lies above the muscle and covers it. Sit ups/ crunches and general ab exercises won't help…

With kids I would not wrry too much about there caloric intake. Just try to ensure they are getting a balanced diet, lots of fruit and veg where possible and not too much processed stuff. Ideally try and give them healthier snacks but I would never limit a certain food group for kids. By limiting things it can lead to them…

The steak and bacon is exactly what I'm talking about....some people think you cant have steak or chicken for breakfast...but why?

For strengthening your core< the 2 best thing are planks and squats. BUT good form is really important with both! :)

You can get a pretty good workout by doing a bodyweight circuit workout. So basically chose as many exercises as you want do them for a certain number of reps or set a timer cycle through them all without a break then take a break and do the circuit again. Some exercises you might want to include: squats, press/push ups,…

The oven doesn't have to e the only method to cook healthily! Do you have non-stick pan? You only really need 1. The non stick means you can really cut down/cut out oil! Have you hear of oil spray? It's great each spray is about a calorie! Or try olive oil but not too much So ideas depends on what you like. Chicken breast…

Really depends on your goal and current fitness level.

Variety is important! Ok not sure on you fitness level but I would say do some interval training. So spend 30secs working hard then recover 30 secs working at a lower intensity. Do this in any piece of CV equipment or outside. In the gym, grabs some dumbells and a Swiss ball and do a circuit of resistance training. Mix…

I'm not sure what rates for a personal trainer are where you are, I'm guessing the USA! But here PTs cost anything from £15-£200 per hour. The offer you mention may be a good deal, but it really depends on the level of knowledge the trainer had and what you are hoping to achieve. Half an hour is not very long for a…

Stretching is not always essential effort working out but I think it's really important that you stretch when your finished. If you can stretch before a workout great but if not make sure you gently wanted up so that you prepare te body for your workout. As for your current soreness! Try googling hamstring stretches.…
