Thanks for this. Years ago I did the old WW program that counted calories/fat/fiber and I lost 30 some lbs and felt great. When the program switched up I gained the weight back. Then I started with MFP a while ago but didn't stick with it. This time, I lowered my calories to 1200 because the number sounded good to me. Lol…

Congratulations on being nicotine free! That's a big accomplishment! Welcome to MFP. Calorie counting works the best for me! I've tried a variety of other programs and fads. Right now I'm strictly counting calories due to a couple of reasons and I've lost approx 8 lbs in 7 weeks. Feel free to add me (anyone can!). I log on…

I'm back to work, so I'm working full time and until we move next month I have a 1.5 hour communte in the morning and afternoon. So I'm gone about 12 hours a day, we get home around 6, he's in bed around 8/830 and my husband & I are…

This has been something I've wanted to try; but it makes me nervous. For starters I've got a messed up foot, but part of me wonders that if I start at this slowly I can get my foot to "learn" to deal with the pain. I've also never ever been a runner.

I'm also a WW convert. My mom & I did WW back in the day when you tracked calories/fat/fiber .... I did GREAT! Well, we both did. I lost approx 30 pounds and was comfortable with my body. The program changed & it all went down hill from there. I started gaining when I wasn't tracking calories anymore and then I had lots of…

I have found in the past, its definitely easier to stick with it if you have people around you who are encouraging you throughout the journey! Here's to a fresh new start! :)
