I’m a high school math teacher and struggle with finding time to exercise during the week. Add to that the routine of having a new baby and making time for her as well. Any support and/or suggestions and greatly appreciated.

I am definitely interested in the support group! I'm 30 years old, 5'4, and currently weighing in at 247 lbs. I the past I have used MFP for about a month and do well, but then life happens and I go back to my old ways. My mom has been having health problems and it is eye opening to me that I need to make some major…

I am in the same boat as both of you. I started my weight loss journey again back in October and did great for a month, but then Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays came and I took a month long break. I am very frustrated with myself for doing that, but I only have myself to blame. Please feel free to add me as a friend, I…

Hey All! I am 26 and currently weigh 225, my highest weight ever was 230. I started using MFP last spring and saw results with it, however life events happened and I stopped making it a priority. I know this sounds cliche, but it really is my resolution for the year to get healthy and lose weight. Feel free to add me as I…

My go to meal so far this year has been tuna sandwiches on a thinbun with a small Caesar salad. Otherwise if I have some leftover chicken or fish from the night before I will toss that in my bag along with some frozen veggies or something. Or if im really in a pinch i have a couple lean cuisines for just that reason. I try…

I have never been a runner either, but I started doing couch to 5k, and it's a great program to ease your body into running with a combo of walking/running intervals.

Bump for all the great ideas :)

I dislocated my kneecap frequently in high school, and finally had surgery my senior year. The reason mine was dislocating was because my inner quad muscle was much weaker than my outer quad muscle. The doctor sent me to physical therapy to build up my quad muscles in general. Building up that muscle helped me quite a bit,…

Thanks to both of you for your input on it being a slow process. Do you have any suggestions for how many calories I should be consuming compared to what my BMR is? I'm not sure if I am consuming too many, too few, or if it's about right.
-
So you eat all of your BMR calories.. Should I be eating the 1760 then?

I weigh myself when I go to the gym every other day, which might be too often and making me impatient...

I have this exact same problem because of marching band as well as being slightly flat footed. I bought some running shoes that are supposed to help with the flat footed-ness. I am also trying to concentrate to land on the right place of my foot but it is very hard to do. Any suggestions on this would be greatly…

I haven't been going by MFP's calories burned, but I have been going by what the machine at the gym is telling me. I was just wondering if anyone knows how accurate those are compared to MFP or a HRM. Thanks!

Mine is open as well, and I am looking for a few people who can give me constructive criticism on my diary. Thanks in advance!
