Italian Beef:
3-4 lb chuck roast (any kind will do really)
3 Beef Bullion Cubes
1 Packet dry Italian Dressing Mix
1 T Minced Onion
1 1/2 Cups Water
Cook on low all day. Usually about half way through the day I'll shred it up and then keep on cooking it. Serve on buns with some shredded mozzarella cheese. One could add peppers and onions as well.0 -

Crockpot Chicken Fajitas (this is what is currently cooking in my kitchen now)
2lbs chicken breasts
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 green bell pepper sliced
1 red bell pepper sliced
1 onion sliced
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
2 tbsp lime juice
Cook on high 4-5 hours or low for 6-7 hours. Serve on tortillas.
**I'm having mine over lettuce for a Chicken Fajita Salad, topped with fat free sour cream and salsa Works out to about 30grams of protein and 300 calories for the whole salad.0 -

Go figure I never thought of putting steel cut oatmeal in my crock pot, anyway, try a vegetairian dish, I use any brand PAM type cooking spray, sautee small onion and 3-5 cloves garlic chopped, then add one ( or 2) very large zuccini's cut into bite size pieces, add one large can of DICED tomatoes. ( adding carrots or mushrooms are optional) cook 45 minutes or until tender, Serve plain or over whole wheat pasta or brown rice0

crock pot?? wow you can do just about anything with one.. i put boneless skinless chicken in it and bbq sauce with a little water mixed in ..turns out very tender and no worries about anything sticking ...sometimes just a bit of water with seasoning like freeze dried onion ,italian seasoning and pepper ..you can slice them up for sandwiches or cut some of it up and throw over brown rice.. with the juice you can make some soup ... any meat with any veggies is also good0

Bumping for later. btw- i love crock pot cooking but it seems like there is always a ton of fat in it after cooking esp with pork. am i buying the wrong meats? I bought a pork butt roast last week for pulled pork. When i came home there was a ton of yucky fat all over in the meat and juice.
What is the best cut for roast or pulled pork sandwiches.
Thanks!0 -

In my crock pot today is 2.5 lbs chicken tenders, one can of pineapple chunks in juice, and about 1/4 cup of bbq sauce.
Will have this for dinner tonight- either in wraps or over rice, depending on which one I want
I'm doing this soon for my family ... it sounds lovely!0 -
a MFP classic - I've tried it and it's delicious
