I think you are missing the point of the comments..they are not meant to be negative, people like us that have been around this site for years, see the same trend, low calorie intake, initial weight loss, then they platue, start to gain, stop tracking ,etc....we are only trying to give you long term advice...believe me, I…

Good luck with Insanity - I did it up until the last week of month 2 and quit because I was completel bored and unmotivated with it anymore..and I really missed the gym and lifting...which leads me to your reasoning for doing Insanity...you really will not beef up with this program, it is more endurance training than any…

How is your break down on calories? Is your sodium high? I too was at a plateau early on - it was for two reasons - 1 - my sodium was threw the roof! I was eating lots of frozen lean cuisines, low calorie soups, etc - all full of sodium, once I started eating cleaner and preparing my own foods and upping my protein - I…

wow, wow, wow!! Amazing story...and I am so glad you noted about the slow progress, a lot of people dont get that - I have been on MFP for over 3 years...it took me little over year to reach my goal, and I logged my food for an additional year after.....I finally stopped my logging of food as I feel I have a good handle on…

I agree on the eating more decision..I struggled with this at first but quickly came to realize that you need to eat to lose!! If you like the 30 day shred, try some other JM DVD's, I own almost everyone and mix them in when I want to or have to work out at home...Killer buns & thighs, No more trouble zones, ripped in 30,…

does your hotel have any weights at all? Dumbells? there are alot of great dumbell workouts for strength training....if not, you could do a 2 day strength training workout - do upper body one day, lower body next day...there are also alot of excercise you can do using just your own body weight that will be strength…

if you dont have a HRM, then log the workouts under circuit training...it is pretty much the same thing...then eat those calories...you really need to fuel your body when doing insanity...It is a crazy routine that puts your body through the ringer...and just wait until you get to phase II or the second month...crazy...I…

I think you misread my post - I did not say severly limit sodium - I said to track it to ensure you are not exceeding the recommended intake - and here are some links on why you "Should" track sodium: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/nutrition/sodium/index-eng.php#a4…
-
wow - thats contrary to everything I have ever read, been told by trainers, etc...high sodium intake can inhibit weight loss - Excess sodium causes fluid retention, which manifests itself in the form of excess weight.... and I totally disagree with just trying to hit your macros..they need to be evenly spaced through out…

great job....my favorite part is the sassy look on your face - you know its working and should be proud!!
-
wow - reading your profile and seeing how athletic you are...skipping meals and eating when your hungry I would not think you would agree with......
-
you need to track sodium....it is one of the things that can hold you back from losing if you are going over all the time....eating processed foods, etc...and I defintely agree with upping protein...you should try to exceed protein and fiber everyday..it will keep you feeling full and satisfied.. Don't skip meals…
