  • So do I. As long as you count it, note it... you will be fine. We all have our days. And it's important not to starve yourself. Have a nice normal meal and be done with it! :)
  • LOVE me some Malbec and South African Shiraz.... my husband got me into wine about 14 years ago. We love wine tasting when we can which is rare.... we also love beer tasting. YUM.
  • True- Itsaboy - pronounced Its- uh- Boo.... mother saw the It's a Boy card at the head of the bassinet and named her baby Itsaboy.... Weird but true. TNP is obsessed with zombie movies.
  • Daily movement is better than pushing yourself too hard all at once. Being somewhat sedentary myself I find I have a HELLUVA lot more energy after walking 30 minutes at 3 mph every day than I do working out for an hour. That being said- the more you get used to getting off your butt and moving around, the more you may want…
  • I have read through a lot of these responses and these people are DEFINITELY trying to motivate you and they are giving excellent advice. The fact is- we ALL had to choose to stop whining, stop being lazy.... You shouldn't need anyone to feel compelled to work out- it's all for you, all your work. Now, for being depressed,…
  • A lot of people don't like raw veggies. I am one that ONLY eats veggies raw... hahaha... maybe I'm a weirdo! Anyway- since my kids don't particularly like veggies I make a lot of salads, I incorporate veggies into big salads, soups and stews and yes- you can make a totally healthy stew in your slow cooker that gives you…
  • I barely moved for two months- exercising and eating the calories. I was at around 1500 calories and I would eat up to 300 of my exercise calories. It was So frustrating. I wound up giving up- AGAIN. So now I'm at 1200 per day and I'm doing walking for now to start. I only go up to 50 calories over the 1200. I will…
  • We don't get out very much. Our kids are getting older but we don't have the time with all the activities they are involved in. We do more together as a family. I look forward to the days that we have the time to go out on dates!!! Hahahaha.... I think it's great that you go out with each other. Every family, every couple…
  • I am in total agreement.
  • HAHAHAHA!! Too funny! Good for you!!
  • I think it's a great idea. I don't know how to do my measurements and am terrified to see them. My weight is 200 pounds. My ultimate goal is somewhere in the 130-140 range. As for my measurements- do you think a regular tape measure will work??
  • Hi! I just joined the group and posted a message! Terrified but oddly excited. Thanks so much!! E
  • 20-something LOVE it....
  • Nicely put! Honored to be your friend!

  • My mom SWEARS by them. She's on MFP as well so maybe she'll see my post and add her two cents! Anyway- She eats them all the time and she adds sesame oil. Her co-worker told her to add a little kimchi and then it's be even better. I have yet to try them....
  • South Philly!
  • I already plan on using MFP indefinitely.... or until they shut down.... which I hope is never. It is a very useful tool for anyone who wants to know what they are eating. I'm loving it here. I used fitday.com for a long time but my mom got me into mfp. I'm grateful. I really prefer this site!
  • Welcome! And you can talk to me anytime! We all have different amounts to lose- you will do it and you will have plenty of wonderful people there for you along the way! Hang in there!! Feel free to add me.
  • Having been that girl myself in the past I found that all my fears were for nothing. I tried to go when I thought no one was there and it turned out that that time just doesn't exist. hahaha... so anyway- I had the same fears. I was really heavy and I wasn't sure if I could do it at all let alone do it right. Well, guys…
  • Thanks, ladies! Well, I will post here- I'm at 175.5 as of this morning. I am looking at 169 for the Month. Good luck to you!
  • It was last night before I went to bed- a mini York's Peppermint Patty. Haven't eaten yet today!
  • Hahaha... I hear you. I hate the gym. Really, really hate it. I like the Leslie Sansone walking dvd's... my problem is that I am SOOO lazy... AND I would rather be outdoors... Once spring REALLY hits.. even summer- I love being outdoors. I'm really hoping to meet my goal. Thanks for responding!
  • Oh, I just started using this site. I was using fitday.com... but I prefer this. I started out at 210 on January 2nd. I'm making good progress... I just don't want to get discouraged now!
  • Yes. I am a decent enough example. Medically, though I was considered obese at 210 and 5'7"... I had no problems. Great cholesterol levels... the good high, the bad low... terrific blood pressure.... no sugar issues... BUUUUTTT.... my knees suffer a bit and I hate the way I look. Plus, I know that my weight, if not…
  • My mom bought this stuff and I finally relented and tried it. It was great! It makes working peanut butter into your normal diet workable.
  • @auticus I'm really happy that she is your EX wife... what a horrible person.
