stay away from the sportsline models. they are cheap for a reason. at first, i didn't want to spend a lot money on a hrm bc i wasn't sure if i'd stick with a "diet" (i use that term loosely) plan. but with the encouragement of my family, i've stuck with mfp since April, began cycling again, better food habits, etc. i hold…

Been on MFP since April. For the first 2 month, I lost 10 lbs & 12 overall inches. No change in clothing sizes. I exercise at least 3 times a week (cardio/strength training) and bicycle approx 20-30 miles a week. I was pleasantly happy with the progress. Since the beginning of June, I've gained almost 2 lbs back. I don't…

I had mine done in 2004 (at the age of 33). My only regret was not having it done sooner. I had almost 3 lbs (total) removed. I don't want to say that I'm scar-less. But I can were any style bra and no scars show. I felt immediate relief, even while in the hospital. After suffering from horride migrane for years (sometimes…

Western PA here. Had a very mild winter, we've been cycling since mid-March. We're very fortunate in our area and have lots of "rails to trails".

Yes, they can get boring. The 1st disk has 4 workouts (3 @ 30 min & 1 @ 45 min) + an extra warmup session. The 2nd disk has 2 work outs @ about 55 min each + the same extra warmup session as disk 1. I decided that I needed extra time to fully accomplish all the workouts on disk 1 and used it for 4 weeks. Just started disk…

I am also unable to do sit-ups, crunches, etc because of a broken tailbone (it's actually broken in two different spots). I found that I can do a "standing" ab routine without pain or discomfort. Hope you find something that works for you.

Bicycle Riding. The big name retail stores sell decent bikes for a beginnger in the $100 (or less) range. No need to buy a bike that has more than 7 or 8 gears to start out. Twice a week, I head to our local bike trails (we are very forunate to have over 30 paved miles of bike trails in our area) and go at least 12 miles.…

"Calorie Cycling" isn't bad for your metabolism. Don't fret about the one bad day. Continue today as you normally would. IMO, not need to do anything differntly. Keep up the good work.
