Looks delicious, can I get a recipe ?

Makes a lot of sense. Thank-you

Looking good. Would be great to understand more as you look very similar to me. Your start/goal and methods.

Fantastic job mate. Looking good. I keep looking for that "A Ha" moment and despite being significantly overweight I have not found it. I know that I would look better, I know that I would be healthier, I know that I would live longer etc etc. I guess I need to do it to make sure that I dont have that moment and it is too…

For me its the discipline of it. If I log my food I am much more careful (and honest). I do not weigh everything, but because I have done, I am much more aware of potion sizes (and how small they really are) I "allow" myself treats, I don't count back my exercise calories and I know that not logging in to mfp is the first…

I would really like 10lbs in February. I was good in January, so lets go

I don't have a cheat day for all of the good reasons mentioned above. That said, I record my weight on a Monday morning and tend to go a little easier on myself for the rest of the day. Tonight I am going to have a thin crust pizza and I am looking forward to it. Within my calories, but more than I would normally have.

Its an interesting argument and one that I am sure will become more mainstream over time. A number of people are now willing to comment on smoking, to a smoker, but less so on eating to an obese person (speaking as an obese former smoker). In both cases the person knows that what they are doing is unhealthy, but with food…

Any reality TV, any get rich quick shite, Arbonne, Beachbody, Herbalife, people that drive Toyota Prius, other peoples kids, especially their babies, cats, foofy coffee........

I read an article recently that stated that the use of pedometers could actually be making us fatter. (Can't remember where I read it, I read a lot, but it makes sense). All of our devices tell us that they are accurately measuring calorie expenditure (unless you read the small print), but the truth, of course, is that…

Amazing story and what an inspiration to us bigger, older guys on the journey. My recurring issue is "sticking to it" I always start out well, lose a lot of weight (20/30/50lbs) then fall off the wagon and have to start again from a bigger number. That is exactly where I am again now. I will keep trying and I will read…

Amazing story, well done. A great inspiration

I'm in. A complete mess at the moment, but willing to give it another try. Starting weight: 337.4 Goal weight: 250 Current weight: 337.4 Total weight lost: 0 This week's successes: Good start with both food and walking This week's challenges: Get in to the groove

Great progress, great attitude

Thanks all, I started with 5x5. day 1 with unweighted bar, felt good even to be moving under the bar again. I did a 30 minute quick walk after so feeling good right now

I'm back too have yoyo'd for a while, but determined again. 16lbs down again so far

Great progress mate. Sounds like you are doing it the same way as I am trying. Adding in some exercise so as I can eat a few more calories. There is no way that I could do 1200 or even 1500, but with some additional walking, the occasional trip to the gym and around 1800/2000 a day, I appear to be on the right track. It…

I am now lost without my Apple watch

Looking good. An inspiration to a number of us guys on a similar journey

its an excellent question and one that has troubled me. I have a tendency towards OCD so I weigh myself a lot. I have been known to weigh before dinner and again after and come across exactly the problem you describe. i have put on 2 lbs, but know (because I am OCD) that my dinner only weight 1.5 The second part of my…

I am back here again, my ticker says 159 days, but the truth is that I am on 7 also (this time). I have been logging my steps, but not my food. I am determined to enjoy the summer, walking more, eating healthy and full of energy.

46 here, trying again, this time I am trying lifting as well as diet. Enjoying it so far

I prefer a 6ft bar, but if space is limited 5ft may work. Having enough weights is both expensive and will take up room. You can buy them gradually. It is also worth keeping an eye out on Craigslist or your local facebook tag sale site

I am hoping to find out. I have tried so many times and failed that I don't really want to tempt fate, but for now I am in "I can do this" mode so all good. I am working hard at the gym together with trying to keep my protein up withing my calories. Fingers crossed that I get to answer the question. Good luck with your…
