  • I buy the almond milk. It does taste somewhat like almonds. I also buy the natural/unsweet version. I use it on cereal and also mix some lite hershey's syrup in it. I have always HATED milk, but I enjoy the almond milk. I think this is why..... I LOVE ALMONDS!!
  • I do crossfit (2x) and Kickboxing (2x) weekly. I purchased a polar watch with chest strap and it really helps! According to MFP, I was burning 600+ calories per hour, but when I use my HRM it is more like 400. So I trust the HRM more because I am actually wearing it!! Hope this helps!!
  • WOW! I can absolutely tell a difference! I have been on here for 3 months & lost 13.75 inches total (around 10 lbs according to scale) and only a few people I know and see regularly have commented on it! It makes you feel discouraged (I know) when no one pays you any compliments, but I can tell your hard work has paid off.…
  • You look absolutely amazing!! Keep up the great work!
  • Congratulations!! I cannot wait to be able to run a full mile without stopping to catch my breath!! It has been only 3 months since I started "slogging" (slow jogging) and I am slowly getting there! Thanks for the inspiration to keep going!
  • Last night my husband said, "You are looking great!! Don't know if it is the outfit, or the working out, but you look nice today." FINALLY, he noticed!!! That really helped my feelings alot! He is not one to pay compliments very often, so I felt really flattered! Now I want to keep going and just wanted some positive…
  • Thanks! I think I must have adult ADD! LOL! I get bored and ready to give up too soon!! I did not get this way overnight, and I keep trying to remind myself that I will not get fit overnight! My trainer said if "you have a bad day... that day is gone and start fresh tomorrow!" I guess I am just stressing that vacation is…
  • Hi DI4224, I am diabetic as well (Type 1 since age 4) and it is difficult to lose weight when diabetic. That being said, MFP has been really good for me. I have tried every "diet" out there only to regain every pound and then some. But, I want to be healthy for my family and keep loving them for a long time. Not to mention…

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It is hard work to stay on track, but you are proof that it can be done!! Thanks for sharing and being an inspiration!!
  • I started around your weight and am 5'2" also!! I have been doing MFP for 8 weeks and have been losing a little weight per week. However, I have lost 10 inches and almost 5% body fat!!! I only work out 3-4 times per week (goal is 4) and my trainer has me on 1200 calories a day. (Protein at 40%, fat 30%, and carb 30%). Hope…
  • I think if I wore thongs to work out, I would saw myself in half!! LMAO!!
  • I have tried EVERY diet out there and MFP has been the best support I have ever found. The food database is incredible and easy to use. I fall off the "wagon" at least once a week but I don't beat myself up about it or give up (as I have done for the past 20 years). I didn't gain all of this excess weight overnight, and I…
