ALways looking for more women in their 40s to join me. Everyone is welcome to friend me...

Like anything, habits take time to evolve successfully and we must not forget the power of mindset on behavior change. Once you get into a routine of getting up early and working out it doesn't seem so foreign. I've been doing it for almost 10 years now. I'm up at 4:30, have my coffee to wake me and then head to the gym,…

So glad to see I am not the only one. Thank you for all the tips here. I like the zig zag concept. Can't hurt to try!

Yup, have the same problem. Some days I can put on a pair of jeans and feel skinny while other days I put on the same pair of jeans and even though they fit, I feel fat in them. Total mental thing, I'm sure but once that feeling hits in the morning it is so hard to rid my head of the thought. It brings on that, 'will I…

Thank you. Needed this. I'm doing Insanity and feeling it today!
-
When you've finished Insanity's Plyo Circuit, you hit the Elliptical for 40 minutes and then take out the mountain bike and hit the trails for the afternoon. And, yes to whomever said rest days are a form of punishment... no idea what a rest day feels like. Love to feel the burn!!

What he said!! Go by your measurements and take pictures. The scale will only frustrate you. I've been there and finally threw my scale out. I can weigh in once a month at the gym, if need be.

Thank you for sharing. That is one amazing, inspirational man...

bump

I am into my second week. I am a fitness fanatic who loves to work out. This program is definitely a commitment and worth the money. It works you hard and is completely insane! Loving it.
-
bump. Plus, eating clean on a budget. Never an easy feat!!
-
I agree! What an amazing transformation! Thank you for sharing.
-
The exact reason I threw my scale out this morning! You look awesome - great transformation taking place!! Thank you for this post. I will continue with my Insanity workout and no longer get depressed by the number on the scale.
-
Wow. That is a perfect answer! It is more about us loving ourselves. It's an inside job that reflects outward.
-
Nice job on the transformation. I think you look better in those clothes now! Awesome!!
-
Looks yummy! Going to have to bump this for thinspiration!! thank you
-
You are beautiful! Nothing about those muscles are "manly"... and they are well earned. Way to inspire many!!

I saw the clip but never saw it air. Seems much to extreme and almost lazy if you ask me. I mean we all want to lose weight but you have to work at it and, often times, need to learn how to change our eating habits. I'm not sure this is going to help for long term... Just my thought. Quick fixes never seem to be the right…

Okay, now that was inspiration I needed! My measurements are almost the same as your before. So glad to see that it doesn't happen overnight and, if I keep to it, I will get there. So often we want that overnight fix which is so unrealistic. Congratulations to you. You look amazing!! Thank you for posting!

Healthy. Quick. Meals. Ugh, so difficult to find. Welcome. I'm a single Mom of 3, working two jobs to maintain life. Sort of. Lol. I get up at a godly 4:30 a.m. to go to the gym at 5:30 when it firsts opens because the kids are still asleep. Then I rush home to wake the 14 yo, feed him, and get him to school, wake the 9 yo…

Now that is a totally awesome reason to not log in. Beautiful!!

I used wear them when I ride on the main streets and received much criticism. It isn't illegal here but I do understand the safety issue. Now. My argument was always that I mountain bike and ride to the trails right from my house. Not the greatest argument, I know but the music keeps me going. Now I wait until i reach the…

Chobani with Kashi Go Lean for the crunch and extra protein.

Nothing better than holding yourself accountable for what your doing to your body whether you are looking to lose or maintain. It's all good! As long as MFP is here, I will be here... and hopefully Paying It Forward with all the wisdom I gained from all the great people who have helped me in my journey.
-
omg... that was awesome!
-
How about friends that bring over homemade carrot cake with cream cheese frosting... for the kids!?!?! Really? WTH. And, yes I did have a small slice and it was delicious but that just sucks!
-
Well, here's to average. 5'5" Did I read a thread that your BMI says 111 lbs?? That sounds so thin... I'm hoping and working for high 130s.
-
40 and right there with you. It helps to have friends in the same age bracket going through the same, or similar, life changing events. Anyone is welcome to add me. :)
-
Healthy lifestyle... that's the difference for me this time. After turning 40 I really stopped to take a look at my eating patterns that have gone up and down for years. Now with the help of MFP I am more involved not just on my caloric intake but the underlying factors too. It's a life changing moment for sure and one…

I was just asking this same question on my wall. I have a variety of sized jeans and wondered what the heck I was holding onto some of them for. In the past when I got too small for my clothes a friend went through her closet and, thankfully gave me some to wear. I really need to go through my closet and Goodwill or donate…
