I, too, need the help in making sure I am held accountable. Only recently did I open my food diary for my friends to see... funny how something so little can help me gain so much strength in this adventure. I have been on here a few weeks now and starting to really get the hang of it. Would love to have more friends .

What if you succeed? ...I love this!

You both look younger and thinner! That's great that you are working the program together. Its always nice to have a partner that works with you. Congrats to you both!!

Bodybuilding.com is a great resource. Free weights or nautilus is a personal preference. I like free weights because it uses/defines more muscles as your body is responsible for stabilizing the weights; not a machine. Look into NROL4W (New Rules of Lifting 4 Women) and Stronglifts 5x5. Both good programs for all levels.…

I love to see the progress through pictures because so often the scale doesn't do any justice. You look awesome and SO much younger too! Thank you for sharing.

I am still a newbie here but so glad I found it! Anyone is welcome to add me.

You totally rock! Great motivation for those who struggle with the scale when taking on a lifting program! Nice job.

I agree with the others. You did not look pregnant but kudos to you for taking the situation and turning it around to benefit YOU. I love that you take the pictures weekly and in the same outfit. What a great idea! Congratulations on your success and may it continue on for you. You look great!

I was always obsessed with my legs and as a daily runner that worked well. However, after I turned 40 I realized I needed to pay more attention to the rest of me. Been working on the arms and like what I see now. Next is my stomach something I've avoided like the plague after having three kids.

Great work!! You look awesome!! I wish you continued success on meeting your 100 lb loss goal.

You rock!! So motivational!!

WoW! Congratulations!! I love these posts! You are such an inspiration!!

I am new to watching my sodium and have been very surprised how quickly it adds up. I can only imagine what it was like on the days when I wasn't eating healthy.
-
It really depends. I eat fairly clean and have been surprised at the sodium I take in even when eating well. This is all new to me. I'm used to watching my calories, fiber, protein and carbs. I will definitely just make sure I pay attention to the rest of the days choices. And, I will look into the low sodium cottage…

THIS just made me smile... for you! Way to work your willpower on both sides of the spectrum. Very nicely done.

LOL! That's the first thing I thought. I will stick to 1/2 serving once in a while. Unfortunately, I had already planned two 1/2 cup servings in my day today. Oh well, I suppose its still better than some choices. In the future I will stick to my Chobani yogurt.

Hi Everyone, I am new to Stronglifts and have been reading intently and watching YouTube videos in order to understand more. I have only worked with free weights and TRX so I have no knowledge of this type of weight lifting. I am a bit worried that I am doing something wrong. I am planning on asking the trainer at my TRX…

This is very helpful. I've been so discouraged at not losing on the scale while strength training... but I will keep at it.

I have been reading and reading about this and I get that it works but I am struggling to get all those calories in. It's really crazy how much more actual food you have to eat when eating healthy.

I was just thinking this. I've been accustomed to weigh myself one a week in the past but since have neglected getting on the scale but maybe once a month. I find it too frustrating to be working out 5-7 days a week and not losing. I go by how my clothes fit but with this new site, I will start to weigh once a week and…

I am very interested in joining the group too but couldn't find it. Any luck? I want to being the stronglifts this week but feeling a bit overwhelmed. I've never lifted other than free weights once in a while. I am more of a cardio person so trying to "beef" up my strength training. I've been doing TRX and so I think I am…

I have been watching the Spartan Race since I finished the Warrior Dash a year ago. Also the Tough Mudders looks like a blast! I know I'm not quite ready so for now I will stick to the Warrior Dash - twice this year once with two of my three kids. They had such fun watching me they want to join! We cannot wait.

I'm fairly new here too. Looking for friends. Add me. :)

Went through a similar plateau which is brought me here. I have found that eating every hour to two hours is helping to make sure I meet my calorie intake. But will watch this thread for ideas. I live on fruits and veggies and have begun adding more protein to my day but it isn't always easy to eat more.

...former WW too and so thankful I found this App on my phone then found the website. Still a newbie and haven't added friends yet but looking forward to getting more involved.
