yes - i have lost 55 pounds since January and while it's so great to get compliments from everyone, I have a hard time seeing the change unless i see a photo of myself. And even then, I still feel like I look "fat". Thinner than before, but i still can't see that I look "good." When someone compliments me, I always find…

I do this too after my workout...but instead of the flax, i usually add sliced almonds. so good.

I use coconut oil and i think it works perfectly!

I'm in because I'm exactly 20 lbs from my goal! CW: 145 GW: 125

Haha. Yes. I guess I should have put them in the other order!
-
Thanks! But I'm not so young :) Will be 40 in January!

Thanks everyone! It's so crazy how even though I saw the scale go down and my clothing sizes went down, this was what finally made me happy with the progress. And I came across that old picture by accident yesterday...but i'm so glad I did!

50 minute sweat cycle class - Spinning Bikram style (in a heated studio) - this morning!

Offensive.

Yeah, I have significant flab in my mid-section and inner thighs. I guess I'll reassess at 130 - 135... thank you all!

Thanks everyone. I should clarify that I stay under 1200 net. It seems to be working fine for me -- I'm not hungry at all and have been slowly / steadily losing. I have hit a mini-plateau, I think, which is what made me post this question... I'm scared to death of eating more because it seems on days that I do go over by…

11 pounds in 60 days is great! You are losing more than a pound a week at that rate. I have been averaging about 4 - 5 pounds a month and though frustrating at times, I know it's the healthy way to lose.

These!! Fage Total 0 is the best. I have it after my morning workout mixed with protein powder, fresh blueberries and chia or I like it plain with a few drops of vanilla stevia. I also use it instead of mayo. I've been eating it everyday for years.

I love About Time's Chocolate Protein Isolate. 101 calories per serving, 24g protein, zero carbs, 1g fat. Delish.
-
I eat 5 meals a day. I workout after breakfast (between 8a - 10a) and then my post-workout meal is typically my biggest of the day.

scrambled egg whites -- probably around 3 - 4 egg whites with spinach, crushed red pepper and goat cheese.

Fage 0% with chia seeds. Yummy!

pull-ups seem so far off, but i'll try to find a pull up bar on craigslist. I did a few crossfit classes to mix it up with my cardio classes and the pull-ups killed me! what are negatives? thank you all so much!

Thanks everyone! I guess I thought weight training meant lifting heavy weights, deadlifts, etc. So happy to know I can do it without buying a bunch of heavy weights!!!
-
Thank you! Will check out the book too!

I weigh daily - i can't help it and am not bothered by fluctuation...but i record weekly.

I've lost 45 lbs so far (around 25 since joining here) since January. 20 - 25 more to go...

Me too. Face and shoulders / neck / arms. I wish my belly and hips would go. I'm 20 pounds from my goal and they've gotta go soon, right??!?!!!!

I was frustrated with my 1 pound a week weight loss - and I still get frustrated with it - but everyone is right: it's the healthy way to do it. Don't give up! I've lost 22 pounds since the beginning of the year and do what you do -- I workout HARD 6x per week, eat very well, etc., etc. It's taken time but this time I feel…

I'm 5' 3" SW: 198 in Jan 2012 CW: 158 GW: 125 Feel free to add me too! I'm currently struggling with figuring out the right balance of calories / protein-carb-fat ratios / how much to workout and would love any advice so I hit my goal before my 40th birthday (in January!)
-
I have this same question. Also - are you talking net calories or gross (i.e. including or excluding calories burned during exercise)? I'm still struggling with finding the best balance of calories / ratios of proteins to carbs / calories burned. I pretty much consistently eat 1400 - 1700 calories per day net but haven't…

I love Fage 0% plain -- and i add a couple of drops of french vanilla stevia (liquid) sweetener. YUM!

I agree with the eating more calories advice. For the first couple of weeks on MFP, I was way under on my calorie goal and wasn't eating my exercise calories. For the past 3 - 4 days, I have been trying to eat all my recommended calories and most of my exercise calories back and I've lost about 1/2 a pound a day, which is…

I live in Los Angeles and take a class 3 - 4x a week taught by Billy's brother called Drenched. It's basically Tae Bo on steroids -- imagine taking your Tae Bo video and putting in on fast forward. My heart rate monitor logs 700 - 900 calories per 60 minute class. I was using Weight Watchers and just started MFP about 2…
