I get up at 5:00am to work out so breakfast before isnt really going to happen so I usually workout on an empty stomach and I have no complaints. Afterwards - I usually have oatmeal and a fruit :)

I'm in - and going to go for a modest 40 miles since I have been trying to mix up my workouts more and don't have any long distance runs coming up the pike!

5 or 6 days a week until the end. It really depends on you, your doctor, and what you were up to prior to getting pregnant. As long as you listen to your body - you will be fine. I was also back to working out 10 days later (slow but steady) and I owe that to remaining active during my pregnancy and an "easy" delivery.

Hi ladies! I am just seeing this post and wanted to get a little feedback. I just started the Chalean workout Monday and decided to pair it with Insanity. I am only on the Burn phase and I like it because it forces me to lift weight (which I hate) and focus on form. I dont really think I will change my diet too much but…

I get distracted using the weight machines - maybe because they face each other or maybe because you sit down for most of them but when I use free weights or barbells, I am more focused and can set a better intention for my workout.

Hi everyone! I just started Chalean Extreme this morning but as I am coming off of Insanity, I find it a huge (mental, physical??) adjustment. I was thinking of alternating between the two since I love the high impact cardio of insanity but know the benefits of weight lifting. Any suggestions?? Feel free to message me too!

Agreed 100% but they should also change the response after you finish logging for the day. According to MFP, I should be down to between 109 and 112 lbs because of my diet/exercise ratio. Not only is that not happening, it is not something I am going for. A simple "Congratulations" would be better than throwing out numbers.

Great post and props to the men who volunteered for the study in the first place. I know I would be so "hangry" (hungry/angry) if I had to starve myself for any amount of time.
-
I agree. That sounds like you are punishing yourself on a night out with friends. One beer with salad won't undo all the work that you've done. If you dont treat yourself every now and then, you may find yourself wrist deep in chocolate cake.

love this! lets be friends! :-P

By weekend, I meant wedding this weekend. Need. Coffee.Soon.

I ate my face off at a weekend on Saturday and loved every minute of it. Because I was hung over Sunday (double fail), I didnt make it to the gym but was mindful of what I ate. This morning, I did my best to kick butt at the gym and called it a day. If I only ate 1200 calories, I would be hungry, cranky, and sad - and that…

No matter what you decide - don't put too much pressure on yourself. On your day off, enjoy it. Like Isomaxx said, you can still do something - even if its walking around the block to get moving but on the other hand, I spent one day watching the entire Band of Brothers series with my husband and it was glorious!

there are rate me threads? Thats so brave of those women!

Thats not weird at all! I use my sports bra to help support it and keep it in place. Sometimes it slides a little the more I move and sweat

Hi Polar FT4 Owners, Do you know how to delete past Training Files? When i first got the watch, I was messing around with the settings and now have 3 or 4 files saved that are more or less blank/non workouts.

And while you are at it, invest in a new gym. The trainers there seem to be off point!
-
you're probably right - I don't usually go for them either since I am really only trying to lose vanity pounds now and maintain my current wait, so I dont have enormous expectations anyway.
-
I was just curious.

wow. no need for the sass. I was just curious.

I don't if I am going to treat myself! Last night I had "date night" with my husband. I recorded the dinner but neglected to add the wine - why? - because I was treating myself, I didn't want to beat myself up if I "went over", and I don't go over often so its not like I put back everything I lost in one night of…

I agree with Ed's posts above. Your body is probably going into "starvation mode" (that sounds so dramatic) and its holding on to whatever calories it has and storing them. If you eat less, you will probably make things more difficult plus you will be hungry and sad. :(

Same here - right by Rutgers!

Where in Ecuador? I went a few years ago and loved it!

New Jersey and I love it!

I wore my HRM to yoga the other day (I got the Polar FT4) and it said I burned 458. I'm 5'3, 119. Compared to these comments, it seemed low, but then again I really have no idea.
