Hi all,

I recieved my new Polar FT4 today. I'm on the second day of Jillian Michael's 30 day slim down and its just told me after doing 30 Shred Level 1 that I burnt 245 cals! Brilliant.

The user manual doesn't give much away so I wondered if someone could tell me wht my watch keeps beeping whilst I'm exercising? What is it indicating?

Thanks all :)

What's the Jillian Michaels 30 day slim down? I have an FT4 also, I think it means you are out of your best zone or something.

I had this happen too. Turns out my heart rate signal was low and the 2 devices weren't 'communicating'. When it beeps next, take a quick glance down and see what it says.

The beep is an alert to prompt you to work harder (to get your heart rate into the aerobic zone). You can turn off the beeper in "Settings".

It can o mean your heart rate it too fast. When I run, it beeps when I out out of my zone, above and below

^^^ This. I turned the alert sound off because it got annoying.

it means that your heartrate is either too low or too high...
  • It means you are no longer in "the zone" for your age and weight. If you're annoyed by it you can shut it off. I absolutely love my FT4! :)

    Hi Polar FT4 Owners,

Do you know how to delete past Training Files? When i first got the watch, I was messing around with the settings and now have 3 or 4 files saved that are more or less blank/non workouts.
