  • Bull Mountain over here
  • I think so. I used to binge a lot. Not sure what happened but now I don't have that urge anymore. The sick feeling I get afterward of being stuffed just isn't worth it because I know I'm going to regret it and I know I'm going to be really uncomfortable for a good 2 to 3 hours.
  • Well, it depends on if you are eating above a deficit. You can burn as much as you want. If you eat it all back and then some you'll gain. Doesn't matter if you eat before or after a work out. If you're hungry, eat. Weight loss is a deficit. Calories vs. calories out. Make sure you stay in that deficit and you will lose…
  • My record is 6 of crossfit and 14 of just cardio and weight machines.
  • Hey, also at the UO. Would love to have you on my friends list! Anyone else can add me to!
  • Yeap, I go out with friends once a week and have a beer and still lose.
  • Open your diary. Start weighing your food if you're not already, measuring cups are not accurate for solid foods. You are probably eating more than you think.
  • I had mine placed in July and have had no issues what-so-ever. I had no issues with birth control either. The IUD is the best thing I have ever had to be honest. Way more reliable then the oral birth control.
  • I actually ate more carbs and junk when I quit drinking diet pop. I've tried it both ways, just to see if there was any truth to what people say. I didn't find any and ended up eating more. So I went back to drinking it. It helps with my cravings.
  • I was a vegetarian for a while. My doctor wanted me on supplements, especially iron. So make sure you are getting enough of that. Take a multi-vitamin or check in with your doctor so they can make sure you are getting what you need and you aren't having any deficiencies.

  • You lose weight by a calorie deficit. Running is mainly for cardiovascular fitness. You don't burn nearly as many calories as you think you might. Eat less and you'll lose weight.
  • You can't be semi-Atkins. If you are not weighing your food, measuring is not accurate for solids, then you don't know how much you are actually eating. You could think you are eating less but eating a lot more than you think. Count your calories.
  • If you are not weighing your food out you should start. A lot of people who see slow or stalled results tend to eat more than they think they are. And it doesn't matter what you eat as long as you are in a deficit.
  • How many calories is it? If your goal is weight loss and you are weighing out your food, not measuring, and staying in your calorie limit then you're fine. Weight loss is a calorie deficit. As long as you are in one it doesn't matter what you eat.
  • For me I think life would just be easier. I'm fairly active. I scuba dive a lot, rock climb, crossfit. I think not hauling a bunch of extra weight would make things a lot easier. I know clothes and gear shopping would be easier.
  • Can you open your food diary? It will help some more experience members get an idea of what your intake is like an give you some better advice. But my input would be is that you are eating more than you think. If you are not already, weigh you food as opposed to measuring it with cups. That's where people usually go wrong.…
  • Totally didn't catch that. Thought that was "Member since 2012". I'm out.
  • Because it doesn't exist.
  • Like another user said, you can't cherry pick from an article. Especially WebMD of all things. From your same article it also says "leaky gut really means you’ve got a diagnosis that still needs to be made,”. If you're going to cite something for evidence please use a peer reviewed source.
  • Well, if you're on Diuretic then no wonder you dropped that much so fast. A majority is water. Diuretic promotes the production of urine to expel water from the body. Yeah, the pace is frustrating but that's what it is lol. Didn't pop up overnight, you won't pee it all out either.
  • Water retention. The body can fluctuate 1-5lbs during the day.
  • If it gets you to follow a deficit, go for it.
  • If you open up your diary you would get a lot more helpful advice. If you're not losing, and you have ruled out any medical issues, then you are probably eating more than you think. Do you weigh your food? Or just estimate? If you're just guessing at portions part of the time then that's your problem right there.
  • Start building muscle. Although, you cannot GAIN muscle on a deficit. But doing more exercise, lifting heavy, cardio will help a lot. Squats especially if you're worried about legs and rear.
  • No, you can eat whenever you want. Like mentioned many times before, it doesn't harm your metabolism any if you don't eat.
  • Everything eaten in excess will turn into fat. Not just carbs. You get fat because you eat too many calories. You can eat organic meats if you don't want hormones although I would recommend doing some more research using peer-reviewed sources.
  • Honestly, if you're not motivated enough then you're not ready or in the right mindset. You just realize that it has to get done and get up and do it. You count the calories you go to the exercise. Gets easier as you go, and it's something you just do.
  • The Mirena doesn't magically make you gain weight. It MAY be a lesser side effect, or it could be that you are not pay enough attention to your calorie intake. I've had the Mirena for about 4 months now, aside from some cramping I've no issues with weight loss or acne. Regardless, I would say that the benefits outweigh it…
  • It just finally clicked for me. I think you just really have to get in the right mindset to just follow through with it. I was yo-yoing for years. This time around I just got fed up and it seems a lot easier than it was before. You don't need to limit yourself from anything. You have eat what you want, just in moderation.…
