It's exactly what it says. You have 607 left for the rest of the day because of the exercise calories. Now, you can choose to stop at the 1800 goal because a lot of apps tend to over estimate and you can end up over eating. You don't have to eat back the calories you burn from exercising. If you're not hungry you don't…

So I can stop being compared to my sister and just tell my mom and grandma to shove it. They've always told me that I need to lose weight. Now I'm not terribly out of shape, I can hold my own, but I'm compared to my sister constantly. I also want to just weigh less than my husband. I'm currently about 20lbs heavier.

You may notice water weight a day or two after, especially if the foods are salty, but if it's within your calories it won't affect you long-term.

I have tried it several times, and I even use stevia to sweeten tea and coffee, but I can't drink Zevia. I don't know if it's the brand of stevia they use or what, but it just tastes...off. I wanted to like it. I'm still attached to diet pop, at least till a good, peer-reviewed study proves that drinking it is detremental.

I was just about to say, how many calories am I getting from just breathing?
-
I'm at 217 and currently Keto. Have tried other diets and found Keto the most sustainable for myself and something I can do for the long-term or life.
-
Honestly, I wouldn't even worry about the scale for a bit. I did the same thing this weekend. I've been on Keto the past few months and was at a wedding over the weekend. For some reason I thought it would be like a buffet style like a previous one I was at, but it was a 4 or 5 course meal and I really didn't want to be…

For those it works for, yes it works and it can work long term. For those it doesn't, it won't. I have personally have been having to most success with keto as oppose to just lowering calories. It cuts a lot of my trigger foods and it I've honestly not felt hungry or deprived. In the end, it's helping me reach that…

I personally take a daily multivitamin, and my doctor perscibed vitamin D and more calcium. I also take a magnesium and B complex as well because I'm prone to headaches. But starting out, like mentioned above, chicken or beef broth helps a lot or you can add just a tiny bit of salt to your water. Drink lots of water in…

I've had both Garmin Vivofit HR and a Fitbit HR. Hate that the Fitbit wasn't waterproof, and it wasn't comfortable. I personally love the Garmin, the screen was bigger, I thought it was more accurate than the Fitbit. Yeah, it's more expensive, but worth it.

Like a few have mentioned before, protein powders will not help you 'tone' or 'slim down'. That comes from the diet and exercise itself. The protein powder is just meant to supplement. A lot of people don't even use it. You'll see a lot of brands geared more towards women or men, those are just selling strategies. Protein…

I take a multivitamin everyday just to make sure I make my nutrients. I also supplement extra calcium, vitamin D, and B complex per my doctor. Coconut oil will help if it has a high MCT content. I, personally, haven't noticed a difference, but I haven't been concerned with one and have been content with my olive oil. In…

In the end, weight loss is only going to happen if you eat a calorie deficit. Meaning you burn more calories than you consume. That being said, I have found that a keto-like lifestyle has worked for me in terms of staying in a calories deficit. There are many different sources and people that will tell you how many carbs…
-
Weight loss is nothing but a deficit. You can be on any type of diet you want, at the end of the day calories are what matter. If you eat more calories then your body can burn, you'll gain. If you eat less, you'll lose.
-
Yeah, you're eating more than you think. Get a food scale.
-
Unless your liver and kidneys are failing there is not reason to "detox", those organs detox for you.

Take what your fitbit says with a grain of salt (or any wrist-based HRM). They have been known it be inaccurate. While it is good for a ballpark estimate of your calories and heart-rate it's not completely correct. As big of a pain as some might think it is, the chest strap is much more accurate then the wrist mount HRM,…

Also, you cannot spot reduce, if you want to 'tone' look at compound lifts.

Any protein is fine for women. There is no reason why a women needs to have a specialized brand of protein powder. Protein is protein. Any protein is fine for weight-loss, ultimately you are going to be looking at calories and input vs. output. You just need to burn more than you consume. Theoretically you can lose weight…

I have tired Mio and honestly think it tastes disgusting. Have also tried other water additives and have just opted for plain water. I am also a diet pop enthusiast. But I find that it does NOT make me crave any sort of sweet foods or any foods for that matter. I also have have no found any evidence that these artificial…

increased appetite is one of the less common or rare side effects. But weight gain is not listed as one of them. You should contact your doctor. I have taken that medication (it did not help me) and did not notice that.
-
So unless you have a thyroid issue, new medications in which you have already discussed with a medical professional, or are ggeriatri; changes in metabolism don't happen like you describe. Weight loss is not linear. It is common to see drastic loss and then have it slow once you get closer to that lower weight. Usually the…

Pre-planning meals and staying within whatever calorie goal MFP gave you is a good place to start. Energy or not, if it means enough to you, you'll find a way to make it work.
-
Not sure the doctor would have prescribed anything the first time this happened if you don't have a history of seizures. If you're going to GP they'll probably refer you to a neurologist who will have a full work up done if the GP can't come up with anything. I haven't had the abdominal pain but I was recently diagnosed…

So what do you mean by a few weeks? The first couple weeks you will see bigger losses than then following weeks. Have you been weighing your food? It's the most accurate way than just eye-balling or using cups. It is very unlikely that you are gaining muscle. You cannot gain on a deficit (not including noob gains). And…

Was about to suggest this. Estimating doesn't cut it. Also, if you can using MFP to calculate your exercise calories there's a very good chance that what you are burning is overestimated. In which case, eat back 50%-75% of those exercise calories back, not all.
-
GP doctors are taught very little in terms of nutrition. They primarily know the basics unless is it directly connected to what they are going to specialize in.

I half knew. I was just looking for a place to log it all and not pay for for it. Found MFP and it happened to have a better atmosphere then sparkpeople and better user-interface and database for food logging. I've actually learned a lot more then I thought I would ever know since joining.
