I was taking nutrition 53 lean1, it was really good and I found it did work. But it's a hassle for me to get it online and wait for it to ship. I want to start my workout routine as soon as possible. What's a good protein powder for weight loss? I'm looking to lose 7 pounds and tone my body. Also what are some good arm, abs, and butt work outs? Thanks!

Protein powder is usually just to supplement any protein shortages you might have through your regular eating. You have plenty of options if you need or want to use it, as well as lots of options for protein bars and such. Other than possibly helping keep you full and being quick and easy, there really is no up side on the weight loss issue to using more protein. Just make sure you are getting adequate protein for the workouts you are doing.

Tons of workouts online, but without knowing if you are planning on using machines, free weights, bands, body weight, etc it's hard for anyone to really recommend anything in particular.

Any protein is fine for women. There is no reason why a women needs to have a specialized brand of protein powder. Protein is protein. Any protein is fine for weight-loss, ultimately you are going to be looking at calories and input vs. output. You just need to burn more than you consume. Theoretically you can lose weight on tacos and ice cream alone as long as you are in a deficit.

Also, you cannot spot reduce, if you want to 'tone' look at compound lifts.

Well you couldn't get much worse than the one you were taking. Over priced and full of rubbish you don't need in a protein shake.

Try PHD Diet, I love the cherry bakewell favour. Only 91 calories for 17g of protein. It will only help you hit your protein goal though as with all protein shakes. They are not magic weight loss drinks.

First question ...do you really need a protein supplement ..can you hit a minimum of 0.64g protein per lb of bodyweight without it through regular food? I've never taken a supplement I just watch my diet ..meat, 0% Greek yogurt, fish and everything else covers it

Eg 170g 0% Greek yogurt is 18g protein for 97 cals ...just like that shake

As for the best workout ..hit the free weights section

Looks like Lean 1 is a meal replacement, not straight protein powder, so to make an equivalent you'd have to add fat, fiber and such to any straight protein powder you buy.

Have you checked to see if you can buy it locally? http://www.nutrition53.com/apps/store-locator

Are you not in the US? You should be able to figure out how often to order it so you never run out.
