OMG the prophets were right!!!! I'm so glad you've come on here to point out the errors of the MFP nation. What the hell would we do without you!!!

My friend and I were running on the treadmills in the gym one night. I was deep in thought (as you do when running) but I think I was that deep I actually forgot what I was doing! One minute I was running and the next I flew back off the treadmill and onto the floor! My friend says I just stopped running. Lol. I cut the…

Ha ha ha!! I just sprayed my desk and computer screen in peanut butter and toast!! Lol. Attractive

My resting heart rate is roughly 55 bpm. I had to have a very small operation back in March but i was backwards and forwards to the hospital for weeks before and after the op. I had to have blood sample and stats taken each time I went. My resting heart rate was recorded each time they took my stats which was anything…

I did a ketosis programme a few years ago. Obviously the programme you are talking about does allow a few grammes of carbs a day but generally anything under 30-40 grammes of carbs a day would put most people into ketosis. Everybody reacts differently. Some people really thrive unfortunately I was not one of these people.…

You should definitely try an electronic cigarette. I quit in Jan 12 and I used one of these. You can get them all over Ireland so it should be easy enough to find. I was a really heavy smoker and it really helps when you are around other smokers because you can still join in. You can slowly reduce the strength and stop…

That's amazing, congratulations!!!!! I hit 85lbs lost today too. Although I would still love to lose another 40lbs (roughly) you've given me the boost up the bum I needed to keep going. Good luck with maintenance!!! I'm sure you'll be grand!.

Unfortunately I'm a crier!!! No matter how much I try as soon as the music starts I'm gone. If the person on the screen starts crying so do I! I cry at adverts, tv shows and soaps, home makeover programmes, etc. The list is endless. It's actually quite embarassing. I've given up trying to fight it. I'm embrassing the…

MFP database can sometimes overestimate calories used during exercise. When I started using a Heart Rate Monitor it turned out I wasn't burning quite as many calories as MFP suggested. The difference in some burns was amazing/shocking. I'd say if you can afford it buy a HRM with a chest strap as the user above stated. Not…

Whole Earth crunchy peanut butter is amazing!! You can get it in Tesco's, Sainsbury's, etc. Its usually about £3 for a large jar but Tesco have it on offer every few months so I usually stock up then. :) It is so delicious. I'm eating some on Nimble now as I write this.

Definitely not from the examples you have given. I do all of those things as well. I have scales in work that I use during the day and scales at home that I use in the evening. Also when I go to my auntie or gran's house to eat the scales come too!!!!! Its the only way I can stick to my calorie plan without going over or…

Potatoes and tea??? Sounds like your everyday irish diet. Lol. I eat potatoes and tea everyday, and bread and meat and cheese and veg and fruit! Seriously though I've never heard of it. Limiting yourself to any one/two food groups is very hard physically and mentally. Why do it to yourself? You can't stay on that diet…

Well done for losing the weight!!! The science behind losing weight is fairly understandable, but I definitely feel the mental struggle is a lot harder sometimes. Suppose it just boils down to discipline, goals and focus really. (And also not deprieving yourself completely as it usually leads to major fails). Hope you…

I have a creme egg easter egg waiting for me in the house but I am saving it until Sunday 28th April. My cousins wedding is on 27th and my dress still doesn't fit :-( So I'm gonna be really good until then and then on Sunday 28th BOOM cheat day :-)

How dare she!!!!!!! Why do these bullies not realise that when we ask a question on here we don't actually want an answer!!! We just want everyone to acknowledge how amazing we are and how our weight loss journey is just so much more difficult than everyone elses!! Is it really too much to ask???

Personally I'm always afraid to believe I've dropped a dress size. I always make excuses like...oh this shop always does their sizes a little bigger or if its a friends dress I'm borrowing I tell myself it only fits because she has wore it and washed it that much the material has slacked etc. I think we become afraid to…
