I agree with Kelynn. Ive been eating junk since Thanksgiving...non-stop. I finally decided that I was going to get back on track this week (although I DID want to call it a wash and start over in the new year :blushing: ) and went back to my routine on Tuesday. Tonight was the first day in weeks that I stayed within my…

You should probably make a quick call to your Doc just to make sure. :flowerforyou:

This is why you put things in writing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it were me, I would call shenanigans! But being that you have to see these people everyday perhaps you could come up with a compromise. Would they agree on 1/2 of the extention? You have to remember, this is extra time for you too. Essentially you are ahead of the game (and there is still NYE comming up so you might…

You guys will all do great. Just remember, food is fuel. We are huge cooks at my house and anything that tasted good was fair game. Once I realized that I was fueling my body, not just stuffing my face because something tasted good, things changed. Listen to your bodies (sounds easier than it is) and focus on how you feel…

I am the same. My other half keeps bringing goodies home from the office and it has been difficult to say the least. (especially those peanut butter cookies with the hershey kiss in the middle...OMG they are sooooo good!) I settled on 2 bite size 3 musketeer bites and some hot tea. I ate them really slow and sipped the tea…

These are great starting points...just keep in mind, most standard bar shots are usually 1.5-2 oz. depending on the drink. Be sure and ask your bartender. Even if they "free-pour" they know what they are giving you. Don't be afraid to ask.

Vodka and Sugar-free Redbull. It doesn't taste exactly the same as it would with a regular Redbull but it is comperable. (Use a flavored vodka-yum). I usually bring a couple of cans with me when we go out since most places don't carry it as a bar staple.

Palm Harbor, Florida....Its cold today!!!!!!! (Don't you northerners make fun )

This sight is great! Its motivational, the people are awesome and give great advice (listen to SHBoss...total guru!) not to mention lend an ear when you want to vent, and it's free!!! You will find yourself logging on all of the time just to "check-in" It is just awesome....enjoy and good luck!!!!!!

Premier Nutrition (chocolate) 160 calories, 3 g fat, 5 g carbs, 30 g pro, 3 g sugar, and fiber! Yummy!!!!!! I wish they made all food like this!

Yes...anything that resembles bacon is fantastic! Watch the sodium on them...tends to be pretty high (thats why they are so good).

Wow! I don't even know what to say. You are one strong lady! Welcome back here...get well, get stronger, get focused. I know it sounds cliche but 2010 IS right around the corner (and it's okay to have a couple of cookies  ) Best of luck to you.

If you are looking to tenderize, you can use citris juice or wine. They break down the meat really well.

Great answer...there you have it!

I did the same thing with my shoulder. It is so frustrating. Everytime I feel a little better I start back exercising with it and what do you know...re-injured. I thought my shoulder was bad (the pain and the inability of use), but I can still do cardio and other weight training exercises; I don't know what I would do with…

I am a velveeta shells & cheese junkie. I think it is the best stuff ever! lol. I make it with barilla plus pasta and buy the actual block of 2% velveeta (feels strange to buy a grocery cart full of "healthy" food and a neon yellow/orange block of plastic cheese but hey...a girl has to live!) and mix it with some skim milk…

Crockpot chili and green chile cornbread with homemade honey butter. It is a winner every time! You can control what you put into the chili and as for the cornbread...well, you have to have something to clean the bowl with. (You don't have to use the butter but your guests will enjoy it). Remenber, the most important thing…

I'm just going to try to eat my "normal" way for the day and make concious PORTION SIZES for the big feast! Im hoping that by doing this (I eat 5x's per day) then I wont be able to shove that much food down my throat. My other half and I are also going to the gym to put in a 2 hour session when he gets home from work since…

Yes! What a great approach. It's like a relaxing modified "cheat" day with a control aspect. Would have not thought about changing my goals to accomodate my rest day. Thanks for bringing this to light. :drinker:

You can always take a supplement....or eat an actual orange. You will not only get vitamin C but you will get fiber and other nutrients as well. Just as a side note, they say that the "frozen concentrate" contains up to 3x's more vitamin C than the carton type of juice (something to do with the pasturization process). In…
