  • My current goal weight is between 135 and 140. If I happen to get down to 135 and think that I can go further than I will consider it. I don't want to spend the rest of my life fighting my body though haha. If I look good and can be healthy at 140, and my body doesn't want to lose any more, than I won't.
  • The first half mile is usually uncomfortable for me when I feel sore like that. Afterwords though my muscles loosen up and generally feel better.
  • I've been told I look like Zooey Deschanel. It's definitely the dark hair and the bangs haha. I also got Alexis Bledel when my hair was lighter.
  • I major in Biology. Queen because I thought it looked nice with Bio haha. I love me some biology.
  • I would love to join! I want to lose 15 more pounds ASAP. November and December have slowed progress for the last three years, but I always get back on track in January. I really want to be between 135 and 140. Right now I'm at 153 (gained 5 pounds over the holidays, just lost 2 of those haha) and I am ready to go! I've…
  • I would love one too, but it's not really for aesthetics. I HATE summer time when I have to always think about how uncomfortable I will be if I wear shorts or a skirt/dress. It's the discomfort I really want to get rid off.
  • I'm in. I am trying to lose another 15 potentially by summer!
  • I'm 21 and just finishing up my senior year. It's definitely rough at school with friends eating whatever and whenever they want haha. It is definitely doable though! For me I had to work on my priorities. I've lost 30 pounds in college, it hasn't been steady though. Feel free to add me!
  • College is definitely a difficult place to lose weight - I've been struggling with it for the past three years. I've lost 30 pounds, but its been a little up and down. You have to find little strategies that work for YOU. Sadly, I don't know how easy it is to motivate someone, but the main goal is to stick with whatever…
  • One of the Doctor's companions. Or a bond girl.
  • Hi! The same thing is happening to me right now. I just switched times! I'm not sure if that is an option for you or not. Since I am in school I have a hard time running during the daytime. I actually run at night between 6:00-10:00. It's still dark out, but I've been awake all day. I also think it's peaceful. I bought a…
  • Hi! I am running in NH and it is starting to get chilly! I bought the cold gear underarmor, and so I am happy just wearing that. I wear the regular underarmor pants that go just below my knees. Soon I'll probably have to throw on a light jacket too - but once I am up and going I'm pretty warm.
  • Mile 32! Just jumped behind a tree because someone was coming to get me.
  • Thanks everyone! And I know all of you who want to get there will! 100 % possible!
  • Yeah - I was thinking of doing maybe two, shorter runs a week in the Minimus and then using my Asics for longer runs until I can build up. I liked them a lot though - the running felt so different!
  • The particular kind I am looking at are the Vibrams!
  • I ALWAYS lose weight/inches the fastest when I am running. The elliptical doesn't do it... or the bike. Running.
  • This week I've run 17.5! So 431.69 + 17.5 = 449.19
  • Hi! I definitely consider myself a beginner runner. I started running in June at about 4 mph for only 15 minutes. Now I am up to 5.0-5.5 mph with long runs between 5-6 miles. I am pretty happy with the distance, but I really want to work on time! I would love to be able to run 3 miles under 30 minutes.
  • Ahhh this is so cool! I want to start (even if a little late). I've run 13 miles this week. Is there a place where you can figure out where you are at a given time? Thanks!
  • Studying... well, the stress that comes with a lot of necessary studying. It's my senior year at university and along with classes, research, and med school apps I'm always so busy. I am super-stress eater. Most of the time I am fine, but since this semester started I have had two really bad weeks. The rest have been great!
  • Thanks guys! That makes sense.
  • I don't log coffee, zero cal things, or gum. Also, if my roommates make something and I try a bit (the smallest one I can manage), I won't log it. I am usually under cal, so I know there is a buffer zone. It works for me and I find it maintainable. It may not work for everyone, and kudos to everyone who DOES log…
  • I eat 2 whole eggs (scrambled) per day. I might change to one whole egg and the egg whites. So far my english muffin with peanut butter and scrambled eggs breakfast has kept me full 100% until lunch time... which is awesome! So I will probably stick to it. I have no idea how my cholesterol is affected. I eat other foods…
  • I am a new runner too (I started this spring)! I would recommend starting on a treadmill, unless you get REALLY bored (I use music). The treadmill allows you to know how fast you are going and keep a steady pace. I then moved outside and I do like that more, but I know what I can and can't handle. I'm from New England, so…
  • I go out on my own all the time! I really like being by myself sometimes. I am a very punctual person, and I LOVE being on my own schedule. I also can do what I want, when I want.
  • I used to be the kid in high school who would only run three quarter-mile laps instead of four because I was embarrassed at my time and that I had to walk. I don't think I could even get around one lap without stopping for a walk break. I found that it is best to build up endurance slowly. I know a lot of people do a couch…
  • Those are US sizes, I can never figure out the UK ones! haha
  • I started out at a 14 (which was pretty tight) and now I am down to a size 10 (and possibly even an 8... some of my 10's are big on me). In most shirts I fit into a medium.
