Great! Thanks for all the responses! I have a follow up question...what about progressive overload? If I am eating at a deficit and therefore not trying to gain muscle, is there any point to increase weight or reps?

I actually lost my wedding ring for a couple months because it had gotten so loose! I was doing my Insanity workout when it flew off! I thought I had lost it for good until a couple of weeks ago when I found it in around the TV. :)

Since I enjoy eating the most late in the evening, I try to save my calories for then. It's almost like a reward for not overeating all day.

To be honest, I'd say its about equal parts staying healthy to be there for my kids and wife and looking good.

I think it would be a good bonding experience. I say give her the option. Explain to her that she might be tired in the morning if she goes and that she should be prepared for that. Bedtimes can be broken in special circumstances.

I usually weigh once a week. I weigh on Monday morning so that I am not tempted to overeat on the weekend. Sometimes I will also weigh on Thursday morning just to see how the week is progressing, but I try not to let that number affect me too much. Monday is the offical number.

That's pretty realistic. As long as you aren't really close to your ideal weight that is. The closer I get to my ideal the slower the weight it coming off. Might just be me though. Good luck!

I'm sorry you are getting frustrated. Don't "quit" though. What exactly does "quitting" mean to you anyway? Are you going to just stop eating right and exercising? These are things you should do regardless of whether or not you have weight to lose. I plan on continuing to log my calories on here way after I am a done…

Yes, myfitnesspal is the way to go! I started tracking my calories here in February and have lost almost 60 lbs since then!
