I usually do the Shred first thing in the mornings so I have to keep a bottle of water right by me while working out. I get so thirsty. But I try to only get something to drink between the cardio and the abs. I usually have time for a quick sip on the way to the floor.

LOL, I noticed that too! Made me feel better when I had to stop and catch my breath! lol Barb

Hope you feel better real soon! It is really hard to work out when you are having trouble breathing! Maybe with some rest you will feel good enough to workout! Barb

Day 2--level 2 done! It was a little better today. But my butt muscles are really sore...lol That is a good thing though! :blushing: Barb
-
It really is! But don't you feel good that you are doing a workout that is tough! I feel like an athlete...haha Barb

I have a love/hate relationship with the planks. Just not really sure how I feel about them. This level is for sure tougher but will be more rewarding, I think!

See that is why I love this group!!! I learn different techniques. I think with the jumping exercises I may just have to substitute the jumping with the squat punches. I am a bit "chesty" and it really hurts to do all the jumping! (Even with a great sports bra) Thanks for the suggestion Stephanie! Barb

Day 1-Level 2 complete....Jillian tried to kick my *kitten* but I kicked back...lol That was more challenging but only 19 more days to go!! lol Barb
-
Good for you! You know, I may start taking a day of rest myself and double up on one of my days. Good idea!!! :)

I noticed my bicep forming (without flexing) the other night and went running into the room where my husband was and showed him! He looked at me like I was nuts! lol

I so agree with you on that! I thought that it was totally unfair for her to be able to win that prize. She has already completed her competiton. Those contestants work so hard. I didn't like that at all! Barb
-
Well I for sure didn't understand. I know at one point he said that he did what he set out to do. But if you make it that far into the game why not stick around to win the prize? I just really didn't understand it! But oh well... Barb

I did day 10 of Level 1 this morning! Looking forward to Level 2 in the morning. I walked 4 1/2 miles last night and hope to do that again tonight! I measured but I didn't see any difference but no biggie. I will keep at it and hopefully will soon see a difference. Barb

"If you're like me you may feel a little silly"....that is the main part that just truly annoys me. lol

I have gained a pound so far. But from everything I have read that is normal. We are building muscle. So just keep at it! Hopefully in the end we will see results with the tape measure. Barb

Day 9 is done and over! So excited that tomorrow is the last day for level one. My friend and I didn't go walking like we had planned so I got my Biggest Loser Power Sculpt dvd out and worked out with Jillian on that one too. That is a great workout also!! On that dvd you get to pick which trainer you want to work out with…

That is an easy challenge for me. That is all I drink. I keep a bottle of water with me at all times. Barb

I am on day 8 of the Shred. I can't do a "real" push up so I just stick with the "girly" ones. I could barely one on day one but now I am up to 30 during my time with the Shred. I am just fine with the girly ones, I can feel it all thru my arms so I know that I am getting the job done. Just keep at it and you will get it.…

Good for you! That is so awesome and gives me encouragement. You can see the difference even with your jacket one! Barb

Welcome to MFP...you will love it here (I hope) I credit MFP with alot of my weight loss so far. At least you should get loads of support from your wife since she is encouraging you to lose weight! Good luck!!! Barb
-
Eh...you will be fine. Even if you do "puff" up, just work and keep on track. Everyone gets off track from time to time. The secret is moving forward and doing better from that point on! Barb
-
Good for you for starting this. It is a tough workout but you can hang with it for 30 min. I am 179...I have actually gained a little over a pound since starting it but that is muscle. The first 3 days you will maybe sore but just take some ibuprofen and push thru it. Like I said you can handle 30 minutes. My sis…

Those look amazing! I will for sure try this recipe!! Thanks for sharing! Barb

You can always download the video from Amazon.com. It cost 1.99 per video. You will love doing this. I can see a change in myself. I should have taken some before pics but I haven't. But I am starting to see a little toning in my arms. Barb

I feel for ya...hang in there. I am dealing with the T.O.M issues myself. I usually do a few days before, during and a few days after. just keep doing what you are supposed to do and it will work itself out! Don't get discouraged though. Barb

I try to eat mine but since the bulk of my workouts are in the evenings I never know what my totals are gonna be. I can't always eat all of them so I try to eat back as many as I can that late in the day! Barb

Congratulations! That is great that you are almost done. I should start level 2 on Thurs and I am looking forward to it. Level one is starting to bore me. lol I am tired of seeing and hearing the same thing every day!! And that is great that you have averaged a loss of a pound a week. I actually put almost a pound on this…

While doing the Shred don't get discouraged if your number on the scale doesn't move. We are adding muscle so a little gain is expected as long as you are doing everything else as you should. I actually gained almost a pound this week but I know I have done everything right so I am not letting that bother me too bad. Hang…
-
Oh no! I hope everything is okay with your foot! I hope you are able to get some exercise but don't push yourself if you are hurting too bad. Barb
