You may need shoes with better support. If you have "flat feet" or a low arch, there are shoes with gel insoles and better support that may help. I have low arches and have recently developed plantar fasciitis. I had to get inserts (orthotics) for my shoes and better shoes for running (Asics gel, maximum support).

Egg beaters, southwestern style with turkey bacon and 100 calorie whole grain english muffin. Sometimes I add reduced fat shredded cheese. When I'm too busy (or slept in), a hard boiled egg is nice to have ready in the fridge.

Wow, 5 days a week for 1 hour....you will definitely reach your goal! I get bored easy with the same workout, so I like to switch it up with zumba or other "dance" classes. If you get bored with the elliptical, try the treadmill for a few days or rotate. Yoga is great for your core. You can also start off your workout with…

I also suffer from "procrastinitis"! Love that term. Having friends and family involved in goal setting, positive reinforcement, and healthy food options (especially at the grocery store) have been helping me. I love challenges and healthy competition. My husband and I put our start weights and goal weights on the…

Wow! 105 pounds is an amazing journey; and even more so through stressful life events. Congratulations on continuing your journey here on MFP. I, too, need all the support I can get. Especially getting back into exercising. (Bought the treadmill and new exercise floor mats, etc...basement flooded, and I got off track).…

Thanks for the challenge. I'm getting my husband on board as well. This week: 1. Count ALL calories 2. Treadmill at a MINIMUM of three times this week 3. Increase water consumption to 8 glasses/day OK. That oughta give me back a boost in the right direction. Best of luck to ALL! Kristy

Thank you so much! This is great. I'm very surprised by the cinnamon and did not realize (or recall) our bodies take the calcium from our bones to digest dairy. WONDERFUL suggestions.

Welcome back. I completely understand the frustration with the yo yo weight roller coaster! I'm back as well. :)

I'll come aboard too! Yesterday's weight 181.6. So, let's make it an even 176 by the end of this month!

One of my favorite "core" exercises is the Plank Pose. 1. Place your elbows on the floor underneath your shoulders. 2. Now place your toes on the floor with legs hip width apart. 3. With back straight, lift your body off the floor and pull in your belly button towards your spine 4. Hold this position for a count of 30 to…

If your belly stretched out that much with having higher weight babies, there is a possibility that your stomach muscles may not be able to get to where they once were. So, don't beat yourself up if you do all of the abs in the world and your 6-pack remains a 2-pack! Switch it up and do some pelvic and transverse ab…

I agree to taking out that measuring tape! I'm sure you are gaining muscle, which masks the weight loss at first. I'm sorry you are not getting the support you truly need from your husband. It's so tough to get them on board and understand the female metabolism (ESPECIALLY after carrying babies). I highly recommend getting…

Hello Sara, I'm somewhat new as well. I've been using the calorie app on my phone, but recently starting using the website for communication. I've invited my family to use this site, but so far no takers! Welcome and add me as a friend too. Since the weather is getting nicer here, I'm glad to finally get outside with my…
