• As some others already mentioned, you may be under-eating. Also keep in mind that just because you gain weight it doesn't mean it's fat. It could be muscle, which is what you want if you actually are gaining. And don't weigh yourself more than once a week and do it preferably in the morning before you eat and its not a bad…
• Eventually going to buy some real protection but money is just too tight right now. The closest thing I could find that would work was at ****'s Sporting Goods and was almost $30 for ONE piece! I'll probably end up ordering something online. Wow, really?! That name was censored out? Funny lol!

• UGH! What the hell?!
• Here's a pic of my (temporary) homemade forearm guard. I just cut off the top part of a calf sock and cut about an inch or so off the toe. Took 2 strips of duct tape long enough to fold over on itself several times to make a couple of…
• I'm not denying that it is a "BIA device" but "Fat loss monitor" or "body fat analyzer" is what it is called by Omron and/or the companies that sell it. And I never said consistent is the same as accurate because we all know it isn't. But it's probably pretty safe to say that outside of simple calipers, most people can't…
• Here is what I use. The brand is Omron: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&redir_esc=&client=ms-android-sprint-us&q=omron+body+fat+analyzer&v=133247963&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=3436787771338165419&sa=X&ei=soeET4agGojgtgeNyciDCA&ved=0CKUBEPMCMAI#ps-sellers You can see that it gets consistently high…
• I'm definitely no expert but simply put, if you are trying to lose weight, keeping track of body fat % is just as, if not more important, than just keeping up with pounds lost. The reason is if you weigh yourself and see you've lost weight it could be fat OR muscle and you don't want to lose muscle. There are several ways…
• Thank you both!
• Hello everyone, I'm Chuck and new to MFP. I guess you could say I've been biking off and on my whole life if you go back to when I was a kid. Got more serious about it the last couple of years, especially this year. I moved to Myrtle Beach last summer and didn't realize till a couple months ago that they have some really…
• I've been a member here for about a week so figured it was time I introduced myself. I'm Chuck from Myrtle Beach. Haven't really used kettlebell much until now. I got an adjustable one for my birthday that I really like. I've done workouts that incorporate kettlebells but usually substituted a dumbbell but it's just not…

• I use endomondo and really like it. I used to use mapmyride and I liked it too but it got to where if I paused the app and resumed it, the tracking (mileage, speed, pace, etc.) would not resume when I unpaused it. So it was just too unreliable. Give endomondo a try.
