If you don't log food I'm going to assume you don't weigh/measure it so how do you know you eat 1200 calories a day? I'd guess you're either eating more than you think thus not creating a deficit or too little and your body it's holding onto everything.

If this is even a true question there are 2 things that come to mind....1 you already have your calories set too low or 2 you haven't quite figure out how to balance your meals/eating times. Either way no you don't just get excess calories because you're awake longer. I have 2 kids and if I'm up all night with a sick kid I…

For me, it has helped tremendously. It motivates me to move. I never realized how little I actually was doing. I have manually counted my steps and compared to my FitBit and it's always spot on.

My food budget has stayed the same. I but what's in season and on sale. Some weeks I get bananas others oranges kinda thing. I don't eat out as much as before (which was almost always twice a day) so I'm actually probably saving money.

I often add foods to my diary (typically at night when trying to finish my calories) and tweet so I get close. I also trying to stay some what, within 5 to 8%, by dinner.
-
I also pre-log my lunches and snacks during the work week. Typically breakfast as well and I also pack out all up the night before. I usually meal plan on Saturdays for the following week so I have a rough idea of what I'm having day to day

No I dont

I do leftovers for lunch most days but if it's too much to be eaten in 2 or 3 days I portion and freeze.

I've eliminated sweet tea made with real sugar and only because I drink 500+ calories in sugar alone. Now it's a treat I can have occasionally. I had bad migraines for almost a week.

I've just learned to adjust. I used to eat 1 meal a day and 90% of the time it was fast food. I'm now to 3 meals with snacks and I limit eating out. Honestly at this point eating the sweets and chips and fast food doesn't even sound appetizing.

I took 2 weeks off when we went on vacation and when I stepped back on the scale I was mortified at what I'd gained back. That in itself motivated me to get with it

For something I eat a lot of I make it a recipe so I have it every time
-
I watch food network every time I work out....it motivates me to keep going LOL
-
I sit at a desk for 12 hours a day and I get 10k in at a minimum. I get up every hour and do 500-1000 steps

Not all are worn on the arm. Mine is clipped in my bra
-
Wow....if you post stuff like this back it up so the newbs aren't mislead by untrue info
-
Everything separate here like pasta and sauce. If it's say lasagna I weigh it out so I don't preportion leftovers though
-
Yes....but we were eating out 5+ nights a week plus 2-3 lunches a week
-
I count any liquids
-
I use the $15 digital one from WalMart. It does grams and pd/oz.
-
The One because I clip in my bra where I won't lose it and people don't see it.
-
For me that would be but it's all in how you like to plan your meals and days.
-
I can't say on the salt/sodium but you're absolutely correct for weighing your food. We got here partially in fault of not knowing what a proper portion/serving is.
-
I use the barcode scan for 90% of my entries and double check all the info
-
My 9 yr old asked me if I was pregnant again....less than a week later my 3 yr old rubbed my belly and asked if a baby was in there.

It's considered exercise to give you more calories...listing under food will take away calories
-
Anyone can add me. I'm new (again), lost my weight and broke my tailbone and fell off the wagon and gained all plus some back. Could use friends and support

I just bought the mayo with olive oil tonight and it was par for regular mayo imo
-
Then other days you eat 1000 calories, work out 500....,
-
Well majority of days you're eating more than your allotted calories plus exercise calories. If you're on 1200 calories and exercise 400 that's 1600 for the day to eat but when you eat 2400 you aren't creating a deficit.
