I say if you're going to cook it in cream soup you might as well eat it with the soup so the calories are accurate. You can get a lower fat cream soup to help or try what the previous poster suggested.

Ahhh previously my MFP app on the phone didn't have where I could input times so that's why I did FB...might have to start trying all on MFP and see how that effects things. Just checked after reading the other response. However I think MFP is a little generous in giving calories lost on exercise

This is a life change not a yo yo diet. If she isn't doing it herself she won't learn and therefore can't change the habits that got her to where she is today. I'd sit down and explain how to use the site while she takes notes but no way would I be shopping, cooking, portioning and inputting her stuff. If you do it, she…

I am by no means an expert but I log food on MFP and exercise on FB. I do this strictly because on FB I can input the time and that helps adjust the calories burned. I noticed that helped with my difference in the #s

I have the FitBit One and it really helps motivate me on days I'd rather just watch tv and not do anything. I have noticed I have more energy now (probably because I'm not just vegging out 20/24 hours a day)

I have found that by watching sale ads and price matching at WalMart I can save A LOT...more so than shopping at Aldi's. And I'd like to say I'm jealous of your milk prices! For WalMart's generic its almost $5 a gallon here!

If you only have 10-15lbs to lose, the MAX you should lose is 1lb a week. The slower it comes off the more likely it is to stay off

Cook more than 1 serving/meal at a time, add veggies and fruit. Veggies are low calorie but will hold you over longer as will eating more protein. About the cooking, about 2x a month I buy a big bag of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and grill them, freeze and then I can pull them out as needed. I make soups in the…

As far as eating at restaurants, many are in the database and if they aren't you just go to their nutritional info and then make an entry to add it in. As far as friends and mom's houses, it'll pretty much be a guessing game unless you have the exact recipe and know it was portioned out correctly.

You must be my twin! I am a SAHM, so Monday thru Friday its just me and my 1.5 year old at home until 5. She eats anything I give her so it makes it easy to eat healthy. I cook dinner during the week so I can control it all. Come Friday night, the kids spend the night at the grandparents, we have date night and the…

I do mine with the bones, celery, onion, carrots and seasonings in the crockpot for about 18 hours on low, strain and cool and then freeze. I also do the freezer bag for leftover veggies that aren't going to be used before they go bad. I put all kinds of veggies in the bag and then dump the bag in the crockpot, add…

Have you had kids? I have 2 and after the last baby (1.5 yrs ago) my bladder is shot...I need to have surgery to fix the problem but I'm a big chicken. In order to run for 20 minutes, I have to go and I'm almost to the pee your pants point in 20 minutes. As embarassing as it is, I have to wear liners 24/7 because every…

Not important to me at all...most days I get 4 flights. I am a stay at home mom who doesn't really go any where except the gym and we don't have stairs. I'm not dragging my one year old out to find a flight just to say I did every day, LOL

Girl you've got this!!! Sent you a friend request I'll help cheer you on!

When I eat out I ask for a to go box when they bring my meal...1/2 of it immediately goes into the box

I do but only because I feel great afterwards and I can just feel the stress melt off while I'm working out.

In my younger years I was on Depo for about a total of 10 years and stayed the same weight. I didn't gain weight until I got off of it so I could get pregnant.

Don't sit with him...go in the other room or go for a walk

I will sure give it a try!!

LOL I too was astounded when I got a tracker and was like I burned 1/3 of my calories from just that! Some days I burn up to 700 and I don't even realize it until I'm long gone and done with the gym....then I'm like crap its 8pm with 2 hours til I go to bed and I have 1200 calories to eat!

Sounds about right to me!

I was an avid sweet tea drinker...we're talking 2 gallons a day with 1 cup of sugar per gallon and it was that way for 15 years. When I decided to change my lifestyle I cut it out completely. I have been 1 month completely tea free and while its been HARD it is slowly getting easier.

It snowed today and the wee one didn't want to get dressed so we stayed in and skipped the gym. I did make homemade veggie soup for dinner, diced 3lbs of onions and froze to have on hand when cooking, diced and parboiled 5lbs of potatoes then divided into portions and froze, did and put away laundry and relaxed the rest of…

I kept thinking about this post as I was working out and I don't think you will notice a change in energy. If your level is already normal, its not going to have a 'crack' effect and make you super energized. People who's body doesn't regulate and they lack the Bs will feel an 'energy boost' but that is because they're used…

OMG your Dr would probably send me to a clinic for eating disorders or something along the lines then! I am short (5'2-5'3ish on a good day) and very small framed. I was at 127, currently at 117 and I would like to drop another 10 pounds. I literally have been mistaken for an elementary kid when going to my daughter's…

I take B12 injections and have for 10 years now due to a medical problem causing me not to retain any B12 through stomach absorbtion. I have not experienced any weight loss in the 10 years only weight gain. While low/non-existant B12 levels can cause extreme exhaustion I wouldn't suggest taking the shots to try and lose…

No I got fat while doing all of those things so I don't expect to get skinny doing them either

I menu plan dinners for 7-10 nights at a time. I don't necessarily say Monday is fish, Tuesday is chicken but more of a list of meals I have stuff for just as quick reference so I'm not scrambling every night to figure out dinner.

Use the recipe builder...I cook from scratch and that's how I do it. Example tonite I made lasagna, I measured/weighed everything, put the lasagna together, looked at the pan to see how many servings it would be and then told it how many servings. I have even made somethings and went back and changed how many servings a…

I do but for different reasons...I go in the morning so I can do my own thing, be in my zone and not be bothered (I'm usually the only one there, LOL) and then I go in the evenings because my husband lacks motivation to go unless I say lets go. Usually evenings are just some weights, a little treadmill, biking and my…
