  • My husband and I went walking in 28 degree weather...felt like a crazy person, but so proud of us too. :) Good job on the running...it's definitely something to be proud of!
  • I have a misfit shine...I picked it because I wanted one I could use while swimming. I like it; it's small and you can wear it a lot of different ways. I wear it on a watch band for swimming and sleeping and use the magnetic loop to wear on a belt loop for walking. It lights up in a circle as you get closer and closer to…
  • I have the opposite problem...I've lost 20lbs and 4 inches off each thigh but *maybe* a 1/2 inch from my waist and hips. My middle is definitely my worst area, and I cannot wait to begin to really see a difference. Patience is not my strong suit.
  • If you're not trying to conceive, spironolactone can help a lot with the hair growth. It's actually a mild diuretic but also reduces androgens. It takes a couple of months to see results but now I only have to wax my upper lip/chin once or twice a year. If you stop taking it, the hair comes right back though.
  • I bought an XS Schwinn at our local bike shop and it's great. I'm really uncoordinated so I've wrecked a couple of times but never actually fell off since it was low enough. It's definitely strong enough to hold me. Bike shops are more expensive but they're really great about adjusting the bike to fit you properly.
  • I have a hard time staying under my calories when I eat flour based stuff--I avoid pastas and breads for the most part. I did make lasagna last week but substituted one layer of pasta with sliced zucchini. I've also switched to diet pop (that's harder than anything else). Good luck to you--finding substitutes for your…
  • I do..I think it's much easier to weigh than try to measure out. It's a bit of a pain when I'm measuring multiple items in a meal (tonight we had baked potatoes with multiple toppings) but it makes it much easier to know how to count the calories.
  • I walk in the morning and it seems like I have more energy/can do more if I eat breakfast first. I eat a pretty small breakfast though. Not sure how I'd feel if it was in the evening...I'd probably walk first.
  • I"m 5'3 so I guess I just make the cut? ;) I would love to join the group if there's still room. I've been tracking for 6 weeks and have lost 12 lbs so far but have 50+ lbs to go. We're going on a Disney Cruise in March 2011 so that's my motivation keeping me going.
  • I have a small bowl of Raisin Bran and an orange most mornings. It fills me up well enough without taking too many calories.
  • I take Kariva. It's the only one that doesn't make me nauseous. I didn't have any weight gain from it.
  • I would love to join--I'm relatively new to the site. I've lost 6lbs in about 2 weeks but have almost 60 more to go. We're going on a cruise in March so anything that will keep me motivated would be great. Especially with exercise...I'm doing pretty good with calories but the exercise is severely lacking.
  • I have right at 60lbs to lose and also have PCOS. I just started using this site a week ago and would love to have some friends who are on the same journey with me. :)
