-
im too hypo over here, currently began on 25mg of levothyroxine, gained a stone in 4 weeks, which is madness. hoping this week ill see something go

-
aww thanks hun, ill look at that. ive gained a stone since 4 weeks ago... although ive just come back off holiday for 10 days so im not being too hard on myself. i just want to be able to count calories and lose weight like a normal person. the 10lbs gain came in 2 weeks, first week i gained 8, by calorie counting and…

Thanks everyone. Day 2 of my medication. I was fine until about 2pm yesterday when I felt like I just had to sleep. Not sure whether it's just myself or the pill doing that but I'll monitor it. Not normally like me as I'm using doing body combat at that time!

Thank you for all your amazing replies. Yes I also have a blood form to re check my bloods in I think 6 weeks? So now it makes sense. I shall continue to count cals and exercise in hopes things will start getting a little better xx
-
I've been prescribed 25mg of levothyroxine. Will this be enough. I thought it was pretty low?
-
thanks hun, i really thought i was going bonkers - i even went out to tescos and go weighed as i thought my scales had had it lol. i really hope once the pills kick in i can continue to count calories and exercise and see a downward trend instead of down 1 step up 3 steps :)
-
but i dont think there could be any other reason, the weight gain has stayed with me for 3 weeks, so totm water weight is out the question, extra sodium? out the question would of leveled by now, exercise swelling? havent increased it, so not that either. i have definitely not been overeating, as ive even begun weighing…
-
no i definately did not consume that, i was aiming for 1500 each day as well as eating no more than half my exercise cals back. it does feel that i have to work myself to the bone to get 1lb loss. i truly thought at least have that gain would be gone this week as i thought it was fluid retention.
-
would it be the reason i gained 8lbs 1 weeks and 3lbs the other? ive just been told by another person that it cant be the reason? and so now im kind of feeling gutted again as i thought i had an answe. my food diary is spot on i eat half of my earned exercise calories, i weigh absolutely everything i even carry a little…

this is such an interesting post - i gained 8lbs last week - cried every day... then i thought hold on a minute, yep its ovulation week. im hoping i lose some of it this week. it was a tough cookie to get my head around, especially when that 8lbs eradicated all my hard work for 4 weeks, i swear im still traumatized now
-
Hi. i can relate - as last week i went up by 3.5lbs, i was completely on plan. very weird im 32, so cant be pre menopause... im putting it down to hot weather in uk ( weird for us) and water retention... we can do nothing apart from log our food.. make sure calories in are in a deficit to lose weight - and it will come…
-
Yea I did try weighing every day but it seriously messed with my head I weigh once a week. Thanks for everyone's replies x
-
the trouble is ill never know whether it is water weight or real weight.. i can never tell.. i keep reviewing and reviewing my food diary to try and see any massive slip ups. if i had a little person on my shoulder saying - yep that gain was water weight, i could easily shrug it off and keep going. the panic resides in…

if you seen my progress chart, it has more ups than downs, it looks awful there is no downward trend its a trend of a horizontal line this past year. my body refuses to go below 15 stone - im trying everything.. i thought i cracked it, as in 2 weeks i lost 4.5lbs, then this week gained 3.5lbs back... for no reason whatso…
-
Thanks.. I don't feel like I've put on 3lbs.. i normally feel it say after a week off counting and I know it's coming lol.. but this was such a shock I haven't stopped crying yet. It's put me back to square 1
