I am 5'7", started at 266 but I'm down to 253, and I couldn't even function properly on 1400 a day. I was getting headaches, I was tired all the time and I had no energy to work out. I also wanted to lose weight as quickly as possible. I binged because I was starving.. I felt like I was developing a really bad relationship…

You'll drop most of your water weight the first 2 weeks of changing to a healthy lifestyle. Just get and stay motivated and count all the calories that go into your body with the help of a food scale. The concept is simple.. The consistency is what ruins it for people.

Futuremanda.. Thank you for taking the time to write that. You didn't come off as a jerk, you came off as a realist and I really need to take that advice. I always thought losing weight would solve my problems, but I'm learning I need to fix the mental image of myself or I'll never be happy. You made so much sense! Thank…

I have had many non scale victories, especially in terms of my physical endurance with exercise. I am way beyond what I have ever been in the last 6 years. But when I look at myself, from an aesthetic point of view.. It makes me so uncomfortable. I feel like every move I make, I'm jiggling, and with my clothes being more…

Thanks guys. I plan on starting strength training at the beginning of April.. I could probably start sooner, I've seen people come out with fantastic results beyond the scale when they incorporate it. And you're right.. I have gone through quite a few phases even with this little amount of weight loss. It's mentally…

I have been at this for 11 weeks and I'm down 12lbs and almost 7 inches overall. I seem to hate my body even more than when I started. I look in the mirror and get so depressed.. My body feels different, I feel squishy, sloppy and my clothes look weird on me. It FEELS good to have my gym clothes fitting on the loose side..…

I have to get my scale of from under the bathroom sink every time I use it. I set it down, step on it, then step off. Let it go back to zero. Then I weigh myself 3 times and take the average. Also, what everyone else said.. make sure the surface is flat, you're standing on the same spot on the scale, and it has an up to…

I was just here. The scale didn't move for 4 weeks. I was dropping inches.. Small amounts, but hey. To get the scale to move, I lowered my calories by 120 a day and started doing intervals on the treadmill to get that heart rate up. Boom, 4 week still broken in 5 days.

Get a heart rate monitor. You can't trust those machines

I don't see anything wrong with her avatar picture.

Update: I got a pizza today from pizza hut, which is the whole reason I made this post. Instead of eating the whole thing, I had 3 slices and 3 breadsticks spread throughout the ebtire day, even with strenuous exercise involved. definitley not the healthiest day, but I'm proud that I could limit myself to that instead of…

You are my binge twin! Lol loveeeee half baked.

My weakness is both pizza and ice cream and always has been. I try to just stay clear of both because it's very hard for me to limit myself.

I just eat a small bowl of fiber one a week and try to eat a decent amount of fruits and vegetables.

Yes and yes

I used to eat McDonald's almost every single night before bed, milkshake included!

yes! and i was also known to work out super hard for 2 weeks, all while eating my entire pizzas, and wonder why i wasn't losing.

i go out to eat at least once a week with my boyfriend. i make sure i eat smart through the week and get all my work outs in so i can have some banked calories, and spend them on that dinner. also, i ALWAYS order water (i would rather eat my calories than drink them) and try to look at the menu nutrition online so i know…

I have it.. Seems to work for correctly for all my cardio (walking, running, elliptical, swimming). Usually it's the generic readings from the machines that are off, which is why I bought it in the first place.

Yes, one week is too early to judge. Try it for 4-6 weeks and reevaluate. Also, make nature you're weighing and measuring food so you can be confident you're not setting yourself backwards while you wait it out.

I don't think the feeling of being full can gauge calories, because sometimes I can eat 1k worth of spaghetti and still be hungry, but what a can of tuna and feel full for hours. In my opinion, protein makes me feel satisfied for the longest amount of time. Like someone said before, the calories lay in what you put on it.…

i try to stay clear of being put in situations like that. why not pack your own lunch so you can have peace of mind? or copy your works salad with your own ingredients? when i can't help it at all, i try my best to estimate and i always estimate high.
-
yep, it will work. i believe the website says you shouldn't press the buttons while you're submerged in the water.

the good news: i havent had one taste of fast food in 15 days. go me! my boyfriend, my cat and I spend about 250/month on groceries in ohio. we eat very well. we hunt most of our meat so we really only have to buy chicken breast, turkey and bacon (occassionally) for our meats. we can survive all year on two deer, which is about 100lbs for 170 bucks, and that includes chops, steaks,…

my WITCH of a sister in law, who is about 40lbs heavier than me, asked if I was comfortable with how large my thighs are. i responded with "i'm comfortable enough to know not to dip my nose into other peoples business" the first and only comment she said about my weight.

I've been bow hunting for about 5 years. Started with a Horton crowwbow and graduated to a compound. This is my third year with my Hoyt Avenger. I shoot at 55lbs with Easton 500 arrows with NAP 3 blade bloodrunners. Usually just practice in my backyard with my own target, but occasionally travel to a public shooting range…
