I did keto for almost a year. It works, I don't doubt it, but I can't live like that forever. I need something I can do forever.

I screwed up my back walking too much too. I was also adding in jogging spurts. I wasn't stretching after walks because I didn't think it did anything. Yeah, I know. My chiropractor (love him) gave me stretching exercises to do after every walk and even days I don't walk. It helps so much. Now I do yoga too.

Natural Mate Stevia/Erythritol blend. Makes amazing baked goods. I'd love to try Xylitol but it is poisonous to dogs and mine counter surfs way too much.
-
I've been experimenting with baked goods and breads with coconut and almond flours. There are some good recipes out there and my weight loss hasn't stalled.

Would love more Keto friends!! Those that don't keto, don't get it!

Granola bars can be high in sugar. I'd try throwing in some protein for breakfast.
-
Ok good, whew. It has helped me so much. Thanks. :-)

I have a Microsoft Band 2. I absolutely love it. It tracks steps, HR, sleep and I get my emails and texts.

I lost weight on high carb reduced calorie diets but I was always hungry. Keto works for those of us who need help with the appetite control department, especially if you're insulin resistant or diabetic.
-
Worst advice for me? Moderation? I don't do low-carb because I'm a special snowflake, I do it because I'm insulin resistant. It gives me appetite control. Yeah, I lost lots of weight eating ice cream and bread when I did it that way, but I was ALWAYS HUNGRY. It never lasted. Now, I'm no longer hungry. Low carb works for us…

Be careful, those dollar store steaks are injected with stuff. They're horrible tasting. My boyfriend is so cheap, he loves the dollar store.

Have you looked into endometrial ablation? I'm hoping weight loss resolves my problem but in the meantime, I'm saving up for one. I have a high deductible on my health insurance.

I've been looking for a good Turbo Jam/Piyo Hybrid calendar. Does anyone know of one? I see Turbo Fire and 21 day fix hybrids with Piyo but not Turbo Jam. Love that old school Turbo Jam!!
-
I was going to suggest Beginner Shred too! I'm enjoying Piyo right now - not a beachbody coach - I got them used on Ebay. LOL I like that it is bodyweight exercises and no equipment needed.

I think I posted in this thread years ago! LOL. We'll I'm back again so add me if you need someone who can be entertaining at times. My diary is private though, I'm on one of those Dr. monitored programs. If you're ok with that...

@nitab56 I don't know if this is a good thing to do or not but my Doc gave us "emergency meal" plans for when we are without our product. I usually do an emergency meal when I'm not feeling the sweetness of shakes. I can list what he put down here if you don't have something similar from your doc?

This is a sore spot for me too. My boyfriend had a heart attack in 2002. 2 stents. Then quadruple bypass in 2008. Thin (almost underweight at times) and athletic his entire life. Cholesterol (high total and low HDL) the only risk factor, along with the stubborn man unwillingness to take medicine for 20 years (learned his…

This is a last ditch program for people who's only other option is WLS. I should know, I'm on it. You need to be extremely overweight/obese to even get in the program. They want the weight lost fast because they want people like me (diabetic, HBP) to get their numbers down. I did the whole counting calories thing - MFP and…

I am on New Directions but I am not digging these shakes. I'm only in my first week. I'm going to try the pudding next week. I do get a meal of meat and veggies every day so that is keeping me sane!

work on getting out of the marriage/living situation first, THEN worry about college.

I hate to hijack but this is the coolest app ever! (I have an android) I'm scanning all the food on my desk!!

I have a coworker that calls all diet food "low-fat." As in, diet coke is "low-fat". It makes me CRAZY.

The OP explained his problem and asked for suggestions for an issue that doesn't seem quite healthy (admitting he drinks more calories than he eats, drug seeking behavior) on a board about fitness and health. The OP was given honest advice and suggestions. Addiction was brought up, he says noooo I'm not addicted, I'M JUST…

Get laid????

Holy crap, drink because you're bored? How about a hobby? Read a book? This can't be a real post. You're 37?? No way.

You are absolutely HOT in that suit! You have nothing to worry about!

Been off and on depressed for many years. I'm coming out of a 2 year spell. I used to roll my eyes when people told me "exercise helps" but it really does help.

I have a Y within walkiing distance of my apartment. I absolutely HATED it. It was super expensive for a single mom and one kid. ($35 for me, $15 for kid...that's WITH corporate discount). They CONSTANTLY pushed me to get a family plan which was $15 more and I constantly had to explain I ONLY HAVE ONE KID AND I DON'T HAVE…

My bugg is in my bra today! I really think this is the way to go! I'll still put it on my arm when I'm at the gym but for work....bra all the way.

AGREE!! I'm pretty much a 2 bagger fat or skinny so it's what I've got to work with!
