Hi! First, eating back your exercise calories means eating the amount that you burned plus your daily allowance. Daily allowance = 1200, calories burned = 200, you should eat 1400. You will still loose because your goal is already set at a deficit. Which means you are eating less than your body burns with normal day to day…

I would say loosing weight is more about diet than exercise. However, being healthy involves both 50/50. Does that make sense? You have to reduce your caloric intake in order to loose weight which does not have to include exercise. Exercise makes your body stronger, including your heart, which makes you healthier.

For some perspective for the OP.... when I was training really really hard for my first triathlon, I hardly lost anything. I took the week before my tri off to rest (I did walk because I could not stand doing nothing). During my week off I lost 3+ pounds. It sounds like water retention mostly. I would try to weigh the day…

I was told once by someone that eating raw veggies on a daily basis was bad for me.... as they sat across the table from me at lunch eating fried chicken and fries for the 4th day in a row. I just smiled. That is all you can do. So many people know so much (chuckle) but only you know what is best for you so do not worry…

I am guessing that the junk food cravings have more to do with your body needing fat.... so maybe try substituting the junk food with healthy fats..... avacado, nuts, stuff like that. But more importantly, eat when you can and want to. And maybe see a nutritionist if your Dr is not helping. Good luck!

I have been maintaining since April. I only increased my calories by 100 at first. The plan was to continue to increasing monthly until I hit the suggested amount, but I didn't. What works for me is tracking during the week and not really on the weekends. Weekends are my big workout days so I just kind of eat whatever I…
