  • Haven’t lost anything in a month or so. Unfortunately I’m backed into a corner with treatments and I have no options. I’m allergic to estrogen and after being on a progesterone birth control pill for ten years due to endometriosis, I developed a liver tumor associated with birth control use. The type of tumor is infamous…
  • Look into the Mediterranean Diet. I was able to come off blood pressure medication with following this diet (with exercise).
  • I’m currently using Wellgrove, which is a plant based protein. It’s mind-numbingly expensive compared to other protein powders though. I formally used the whey-based Permier Protein until I got diagnosed with hormonal issues that can cause increased cancer risk, so I try to stay clear of dairy products now if I’m not sure…
  • I usually only drink water or hot tea, but if you wanted something with flavor that’s still healthy I’d just add some Ultima Replenisher to your water. It’s an electrolyte powder, 0 calorie, 0 sugar, and comes in several different fruit flavors. I usually only use it if I’m doing lengthy cardio at the gym, but it’s…
  • To loose weight, around 1700-1800 per day if I'm hitting the gym. When I don't go to the gym (which are usually weekends or holidays when they're closed, about 1200 to 1400).
  • I feel your pain. That's how my belly, thighs, underarms, and breasts look. I want to get work done as well, although affording it is a major hurdle for me (single, live alone, work a minimum wage job, family thinks I should just be "happy with how I am" and won't help me out financially). Two years in the gym hasn't…
  • I used to ride but don't really anymore, due to finances. Never had a horse of my own but used to ride a Welsh Cob mare for years. Still into horses, just can't afford to have one or ride anymore.
  • Been on a date
  • I serve my ice cream in a small dish called a ramekin. Enough room only for a very small serving.
  • What would be the difference between training for a goal as opposed to "going to the gym"? I always figured my goal was to increase strength through progressive weight training and loose fat in the process by eating at maintenance and that I didn't need a specific program to attain that. Back when I first started I did Ice…
  • Three to four days a week I hit the gym for weight lifting. I don't do a specific program, just a bunch of free weight and machine exercises, and some calisthenics that I alternate throughout the week. I aim for a full-body workout each time I go and try to do 5x5. If I can hit my 5x5 at the weight I'm using easily, next…
  • Trust me, I'd like to do something less drastic than frying my thyroid.... but as I said, my white cell count is too low for my doctor to safely give me anti-thyroid medications. That's the only reason radioactive iodine is even being thought about - because it and surgery may be my only options if my white count doesn't…
  • I maintenance at 1600. No lower weigh ins at all since all this. I'll have to check the batteries; I think not even losing one gram is rediculous.
  • I used to use Splenda. It was ok. Used Sugar In The Raw a few times too. Anymore I use real sugar. I really just don't like the vibe from artificial sugars..... and I'm not just attacking artificial sugars here. I really don't like eating anything that's an artificial substitute, or made fat-free, pre-packaged, etc. I…
  • I believe that everyone only has one soulmate but can have several life partners. I believe a soulmate is the person that you are perfect for and they are perfect for you. However, I don't believe soulmates always find each other or even always like / are interested in each other. I believe soulmate relationships can end…
  • I don't think I struggle with motivation, however I definitely struggle with eating within my calorie goals the week before when all the cravings hit. Usually its sweets.
  • I'm not doing any specific lifting program, other than going to the gym and doing weights (free weights and machine). I don't lift especially heavy (sometimes as little as 10 pounds depending on the exercise). My goal is to go at whatever exercise/weight I am doing at 10 sets of 8-10 or until failure, whichever comes…
  • Before I started my weight loss journey, I wouldn't touch fish. I hated the stuff. Shellfish, yes, but regular fish, no. Now I eat fish at least twice a week - oftentimes more than that. And I like it. That being said, you will never get me near a can or a pouch of tuna. I don't even like to do frozen fish. It has to be…
  • Please, if you don't already know why you have a hard time breathing, see a doctor. I watched my Mom suffer for years from undiagnosed pulmonary hypertention. By the time they found out what it was she was already pretty advanced and died within 6 months of diagnosis (from pneumonia, though the pre-exisiting hypertention…
  • I personally try to avoid frozen foods, even frozen veggies. Everything I do is fresh if I can financially afford to do it. That said, I do a lot of batch cooking where I will freeze the leftovers to use for quick meals as well as the food being able to be kept longer. I live alone, so a pound of ground hamburger goes a…
  • I'm originally from Orlando but live in Melbourne now.
  • Yep. I started following a Mediterranean Diet and my blood pressure went back to normal (and has stayed there) within months. I even got to come off my blood pressure medication.
  • While I'd like to think in intelligent, I don't think I'm qualified for Mensa, lol. I guess I'm just too quiet and reserved/shy for most people.
  • Belly and Breasts. Unfortunately I know I'm going to need surgery on the latter - loose skin.
  • Nope, never! Even after losing 130 pounds I don't get hit on. And I'm single, will be 30 in December, and have never had a boyfriend. :'( I think I'm a lost cause when it comes to men.
  • What I get irritated about is when people ask me this or for advise on weight loss and I tell them how I personally did it - portion control, eating healthier, and exercise. And they respond with, that is a lot of work I think I'm just going to do this pill or try this shake. It'll be easier. I bite my tongue and don't say…
  • 29 now and it's been about 2 years since I started loosing. I've been doing recomp for about 6 months now. Lost about 130 lbs. Unfortunately I have a lot of loose skin on my breasts and inner thighs - I know it's coming on my belly and underarms. I'm not happy about it, but there's nothing I can do until I get to my…

  • Protein bars, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal. One thing I've done before is make something (breakfast burittos, omelette, pancakes, breakfast sandwiched, etc) and instead of eating them I place them in a freezer bag or container and just throw them in the microwave before I go to work.
  • I have a small square of chocolate (usually dark) every day. For cakes, pastries, cookies, ice cream, ect I generally have them in the house somewhere but generally use them as a "filler" food to reach calorie goals; so its usually on days I go to the gym (3 x a week), or on days when I'm doing a lot of walking. Or I'm at…
