Calorie intake may be too low for physically active dieters. Does not adequately address the psychological factors required for successful weight loss over the long term. These cons really make me less likely to go for this, sorry. However, I totally wish you luck with it :D

I still watch TBL. I don't like how they bully the contestants, but I do wonder if half of it is just for ratings and show. If they were going there and just working out and not giving attitude, it wouldn't be a show enough. That being said - it DID motivate me to get moving more... however, it also made me eat less. I was…

Your son is adorable, and you've done so well :D It's an amazing transformation - you look gorgeous!!!

Eat consistently, and relatively healthy (we all need treats every now and again) without huge restrictions on calories.. and lift weights :P That really helps tone you up and shift inches instead of pounds (although it will help you drop weight if you're eating at a deficit).
-
Wow! That's a brilliant change! :D You look great!
-
That is amazing! I think I want one. Currently looking round styles right now for my own :D

Baby steps. Honestly. It might feel so frustrating when you're not losing weight "RIGHT NOW".. but it will come off, and you know you can do it :D *hugs* And I agree with you on the BMI thing, it's really not that good.

No harm in trying, I guess. If it doesn't work as well as it could, I can always go try something else.
-
I saw the first pic and thought you looked amazing and I wished I looked like that already! But then I saw the second pic and decided it was a better goal :P Congrats, you look amazing!

I just use the CardioTrainer that came free with the phone - it's part of Noom, but not as fussy.

Sadly, you can't. I've tried telling my own bf to do something, pleading with him to do something, asking him to join me, sharing with him what I'm doing... nothing. He dug his heels in and got bigger. Then he had a medical test the other month, saw the results and has now decided to do something about it himself. He's…

My opinion is just one of several, but I think that if you're 170 now and feel you could drop a few lbs.. do so. Then assess again. Your bmi's lowest "normal" range should be about 159, but it doesn't take into account anything at all about you or your lifestyle. Honestly, I wouldn't go below 160.. but I'm not you, and…

Good arms, and great eyes.. that goes for either sex.

Yeah, I know I said in the other thread about my son being all bones and muscle - his note said he was overweight and I threw it in the bin. I wouldn't pander to the school if you're doing everything right. Tell the school they have no right to have a home visit - if they need to discuss anything they can do so at the…

I got a letter about my son from his school (although I'm in the UK).. it says that he is "borderline overweight". Now, I can see his ribs, I can see muscle definition in his arms and thighs already. The letter went right where it was supposed to go - in the bin. Sometimes, yes.. those school letters can be a wakeup call…

Really? I ask actually only because my SIL stated throughout her pregnancy that she still went to her WW meetings, and she was following the plan for it. Unless she worked it out with the team leader (I have no idea what they call them), and therefore I just assumed. Sorry about that.

Some plans are £60+ and that's just for the plan itself. Other training regimes can be monthly.. but a lot of it depends on what you're offering to different people. Again, a gym membership often comes with a fitness trainer, and you're talking £25 a month just for the cheapest one. Sadly most of my information would come…

I know several people who have all followed medical advice while pregnant and have lost weight. They've delivered healthy happy babies, all naturally. There's even a Weight Watchers section dedicated to healthy choices while being pregnant. All that happens is that in the beginning, they lose weight, which tapers off to…

Still think you look amazing hon! :D I started at 290 - pics are in my profile. I'm now 242.

This, and the OP. Brilliant posts.

This. But it also irritates me when they just log in the calories like that's all that matters. If it has other things listed, then list those. If it says "this much for 100g".. then I'll even do the calculation before adding it in to reflect the product if it's a 42g item. Makes it easy on me if I have it again, and easy…

You look amazing! 6 stone is a fantastic loss!

Agreed.

This. My 7 year old is getting one this year, and he'll be monitored on it just like he is with the computer. It's also not going to be carried with him wherever he goes either (unless it's to the grandparents or something - where again, he'll be monitored). It's an educational tool that teaches hand eye co-ordination,…

I actually think I'd prefer one who's a little chubby - as long as they really know their stuff. If I went to one who was lean and fit and probably a little intimidating, I'd go in with the impression that I'd look like them, and get bloody disappointed when my own body composition will not let me look the same.

Sadly I've got 10 years on you, but I do hope that you're 5' 2", or shorter than that.... Either way. I hope you achieve your goal :D

2 c-sections here (both emergency), and the muscles tore badly with the first pregnancy, and again with the second without the chance to heal properly. That stomach is going to stay there for a while. It is slowly going down, the more weights I do (squats ftw :P), and the better I eat. But since my first was almost 8 years…

Yorkshire lass here too :D

@Dinamita.. I think my answer is yes :D

Basically, and I tell this to everyone... If you feel hungry, eat them back. If you need to fuel yourself because you feel tired - eat them back. If you want a nice treat, use them to eat it. If you feel full and alert and generally normal, and don't want to eat them back. Don't. It's whatever works best for you, and…
