I used to get upset a lot over how unfair it was that it was way more difficult for me to lose the weight than other people. But the metformin is…

  • Salads... with minimal dressing and chicken or fish entrees( as low calorie as possible) with steamed veggies. Most restaurants also usually have a lower calorie menu or menu options. And a lot of time appetizers (the not deep fried kind lol) can be about the right calories for a typical meal.

The snacks are a problem... if you feel the need to snack often it might be good to try just eating many small meals and not really have any actual core…
  • OK I work for and endocrinologist. And subsequently i have PCOS. I also see the endocrinologist i work for as a patient... I am currently taking metformin to help regulate my PCOS. • Yeah I had to go off of the pill due to my lupus (it puts me in the high risk category for blood clots), so the metformin keeps my periods regular now. Well now that they adjusted it, I started at 500mg and they had to raise the dosage to 750mg to keep me on track, but i think we have it all set now.
  • I'm 5'3" and my target weight is 130...
  • Do you take anything for your PCOS? i'm currently on metformin which really seems to help me out with keeping everything regular and it does help with the weight a teeny bit. I love carbs too!!!! Maybe its a hormone thing lol. I'm trying to eat less carbs but more than anything i'm doing low calories
