I add a beef stock cube to mine, but the big difference is I cook it for about 30 minutes. and then let it cool and if possible put it in the fridge and heat it again next day. I find spag bol & chilli lend themselves to being cooked twice.

For me, I guess the difference is between an ingredient or not. To me a stir fry sauce is not an ingredient, where beans or noodles are.

I would freeze them uncooked, that is the usual way for pastry.

dsjohndrow's advice about walking it first is really good if you are worried about your knees etc. it will help you develop your "support structure" for when you start to run. It's also worth getting a post exercise stretching plan which will help you deal with any niggles.

If you are a non runner looking to move to running then using something like couch to 5k will help you. Personally if it were me I would take a rest day in-between runs as your joints etc aren't used to running and C25k will help you to slowly build up to running and hopefully negate any injury. Pret sandwiches have a lot higher sodium count than all of the subway low fat range. The kids cheese sandwich in pret has >50% of the daily recommended sodium for a child. If sodium is a concern then bread is not an ideal food-stuff
