  • I just started this week, however, I am a runner who used to get some pretty bad cramps in my calfs due to dehydration. Go to a sporting goods store and look for Nuun tablets. They are a "disk" that you put into your water and it helps your electrolyte level. Another good suggestion is a cup of broth a day.
  • I would definitely be interested in seeing an answer to this as well. I run and being new to Keto, my concern is having the energy/stamina for my long runs and races.

  • I agree 1000% with C25K. Believe me when I tell you that the first week I could barely run the 30 seconds.......week 5 day 3 I had to run for 20 minutes straight and was so flipping proud of myself for it I literally cried when my one friend walked into the gym. She is my inspiration that I can do this as she lost 100…
  • I am on week 6 of C25K and between our weather here in PA, my kids activities, work and honestly, I am afraid of looking like a complete idiot running outdoors, I have been only on the treadmill so far. BUT once the weather gets to be nice, I am going to try hard to get some outdoor runs in no matter what I look like! LOL
  • I have been battling my cholesterol for 2 years now and although I just started "dieting" for weight loss, I have been doing all I can to lower my cholesterol numbers(bad triglycerides and HDL) the past year or so. My physical 5 weeks ago was the first time I have had normal cholesterol numbers. The things I have done:…
  • I think I get it with the wearing it during weights. I guess it is a *duh* moment there. I did go with the MFP estimate just because I thought it was a heck of a lot closer to reality. LOL But we will see how it goes tomorrow when I do cardio!
  • Sooooo glad that I found this! I decided to wear my HRM at the gym for the first time since I started going back a month ago. I am 205lbs, my workout was week 4 day 3 of C25K (which I was all over the place on MPH during the running portion but basically all in between 4.8 to 5.6 and at 4.0 for walking) and then I did 40…
  • YES! This is me too!!!! I am trying very hard to stay away from processed foods....eating alot of fruits, veggies and lean meats and I too struggle just to hit the 1200 calories WITHOUT the "bonus" workout calories added in. Someone had mentioned the Whey Protein Shakes on here. Does anyone know which ones are…
  • I hate the gym too, but I am lucky. I got to my local YMCA and there are all shapes and sizes and for the most part, everyone is friendly and helpful. I am currently doing C25K and weights.....a friend of mine goes there as well and has lost over 100 pounds incorporating WW and C25K and is one of the "skinny" ones, but if…
  • Yep! And when he cooks it is usually fried and always potatoes involved. At least he has finally gotten the hint that I won't eat that and started cooking something grilled/baked for me and unless the potato is baked, he will make brown rice for me.....but that doesn't really help in trying to teach the kids what a…
  • Oh it certainly was. At least one of the guys there was nice enough to take those 100 pound weights off for me.
  • It is hard isn't it? It's more that guilt we feel than anything else I think.....or at least for me it is. I work full time, my husband is on the road for work and really only scheduled home from Labor day to Memorial day with a few days here and there during the other months, we have a blended family of 5 kids (20, 17,…
  • This is me! I have bad knees and have had a couple of surgeries(condroscopy and ACL repair) as well as constant PT....and arthritis. What is helping me is squats using the smith machine and leg extensions using a resistance band. I have been doing c25k for the past 3 weeks and while they do still ache, it is not as bad as…
  • Thanks to the guy who had to RUN to the smith machine last night at the gym so he could have it first. Not only thank you for being so childish that you ran there, but also thank you so much for leaving 250 pounds up on there and not re-racking your weights. Oh and bite me.
  • Dupe post.....sorry!
  • I am on week 3 of it! I will be honest. In the past I had tried to do it and the transition from week 2 to 3 was alot for me at that time....but I was also smoking along with being out of shape. This time, yes this week is still hard, but ALOT more managable and I intend on seeing it through. I downloaded the C25K Pro app…
  • Oh thanks and your welcome! haha Yes I just joined here yesterday. Good luck to you!!!!
  • I am on week 3 of C25K. Here is an example of my workout: Monday: c25k when I get there, then I do a 3-day a week strength training program I found on bodybuilding.com Tuesday: elliptical for 30 mins then core and a leg program I found on same site Wednesday: c25k and day 2 of strength and etc. I do c25k as soon as I get…
