I have to be a bridesmaid in January and a Maid of Honor next October. I understand the motivation! Add if you'd like

You too can lose 15 lbs this week if you only drink a mixture of lemon water and sardines! Look at how thin our models are...it must work!

I just want to be able to go 3 days without having to TWEEZE most of my face =/ I'm pretty sure I remove facial hair more frequently than my boyfriend!

For me to eat vegetables, they need to taste good. I know that sounds simple, but so many people feel like if they're enjoying their food they're doing something wrong. I'll eat a pan of roasted cauliflower, but the raw stuff...never. One of the easiest ways for me to eat vegetables is in an omelette. Onions, mushrooms,…

HAHAHA this is hilarious. I find that many young men like yourself often scoff at science for a more simple approach to fat loss. Ask a woman with hormonal issues if she can just maintain a calorie deficit to lose weight. No, a piece a fruit isn't going to hinder weight loss, but a carb overload like the one the OP…

You mean your weight is only dependent on the calories you consume? Hormones don't play a role? Inflammation? Geez...I guess that biology degree I have is pretty worthless.....
-
In a vacuum it wouldn't, but weight loss isn't as simple as maintaining a calorie deficit. Food isn't just fuel...it's a potent activator of genes, it's a possible inducer of inflammation, it's a producer of ligands for various receptors.
-
A personal trainer is also going to use up all those carbs. Unless the OP has a very high activity level, they're going unused. It's not about calories..it's about insulin regulation.

Ah the college life. I swear I put on 10 lbs my freshman year just from eating breakfast sandwiches at 11 pm almost every night at our school diner. Socializing is integral to the college experience. If you're not very hungry when you go out with them, you won't eat as much. Even now I'll eat something healthy and filling…

You know...I actually like this ad. I live in Georgia, and the anti-childhood obesity ads here are very off putting. I like this ad because it addresses the parents -- the people most responsible for childhood obesity.

way better.

If you're going to have a cheat day, cheat with protein and fat instead of carbs. Enjoy your weekend :-)

I pretty much disagree with all of this. First, since the introduction of the food pyramid, Americans have only gotten more obese. Most people do not need the huge amount of carbs they consume everyday. Also, natural sugar is still sugar. It's processed in your body the same way. Your body does not NEED sugar...at all. I…
-
Before giving up grains, I still ate them. A serving of the hot and spicy kind were the perfect processed indulgence.

How are your macros set? Did you create a custom profile based on the dietary lifestyle you choose to follow? I eat a low carb/high fat diet, so had I not changed those percentages I'd be in the red every day for fat. If you're over your sugar because of fruit consumption, focus on the overall carb goal instead of just…

1) Find food blogs that follow the dietary lifestyle of your choosing 2) During down time, spend time looking at their recipes 3) Bookmark recipes (I create sub-folders by the main ingredient or type of cuisine. ex- chicken, beef, veggies, Italian, seafood, ect.) 4) Chose the number of recipes needed for the number of days…

Yes! salt is the answer to bitter not sugar. Grapefruit is amazing

Every person's body, whether they have diabetes or not, is sensitive to sugar. If you are trying to lose weight, eating a huge amount of carbs at one time is not beneficial (huge being relative to your personal stats and activity level). If weight loss were as simple as maintaining a calorie deficit, life would be much…
-
Ditto. Even though at times I would love a bowl of cold cereal lol, I feel my body is better off. If you're cutting back in carbs, increase your fat intake...otherwise you'll always be hungry.
-
An easy way to cut back on sugar and sodium is to limit processed foods. For example, the instant oatmeal you had this morning has 24g sugar and 580mg sodium. If you made oatmeal from scratch, added banana, the sweetener of your choice, and spices, those numbers would be much lower. Also, the creamer you used has trans fat…

I don't have IBS, but I do have training in immunology. Inflammatory foods should be avoided -- grains, nightshades, etc.

Your body needs energy...feed it. If you don't feel like eating, at least try drinking your calories -- broths, smoothies, soups. Dairy can increase mucous production, so if you drink cow's milk you may want to switch to a non-dairy version if you have a stuffy nose.
-
Lol...it's not unhealthy to cut out grains...you don't need them. In my opinion not eating grains is the only way a low-carb lifestyle is sustainable. I don't really find it that difficult. Dishes are about flavor and texture more than ingredients most of the time. There are endless ways to enjoy your favorite foods…

You say you're hungry...why is that? You shouldn't be hungry while losing weight. I'm not familiar with this drug, but what happens when you stop taking it? Will you have learned how to eat in a way to maintain or continue to lose weight?

I know that silk's soybeans are grown without the use of genetic engineering.

This website breaks down the estimated cost of each recipe per serving. I've used several of her recipes. http://budgetbytes.blogspot.com/

I'm a Louisiana Hot Sauce gal but Sriracha is spicy red heaven. I use them for different purposes...please don't make me choose!
-
Carbs are not bad for you, but most of us don't need as many as we consume. I would never eat all my daily carbs at one time because the spike in blood sugar would not be good. It's better to space them out.

HORMONES!
