You're eating too much.......the last 7 days you are over, even factoring in exercise calories, by 3700 calories. Based on that you should have gained a pound in the last week.
-
-First Calculate your TDEE (Fat 2 Fit Radio website, calculate BMR and then numbers on bottom of screen show your TDEE based on activity level) -Determine how much you want to lose a week -250 calories less a day than TDEE = 0.5 lbs a week loss, -500 a day = 1 lb loss -Once this has been determined, go back to MFP and…

How much protein are you getting? Protein helps substantially in the recovery process.

That's the book about the parent who let's their 9 year old ride the subway in NYC by themselves? I was going to read it but I figured anybody that would let their 9 year old ride a subway in NYC by themselves had to be a f''''' idiot. Free range is for cows.......because who cares what happens to cows (although I really…

And how and why is that my problem?

When I first started losing weight 5 months ago mine was 72-75. Today it's in the low 50's.....and I feel great. My blood pressure was also 120-130/ / 80 and today it's 110/60. The benefits of lower weight and a lot of exercise.
-
Thanks guys....looks like it's wrong. Just making sure there wasn't some type of low protein, low calorie salmon out there that I'm not aware of.
-
Exactly. The power rack is essential because you can do bench press without a spotter plus you'll need it to do squats.
-
If you're eating subway for lunch and frozen dinners you are getting lots of sodium. If you are working out 6 days a week I'd say with out a doubt it's water retention especially if you weren't working out much in the past. I'd back off a little and shoot for 4-5 days a week, add strength training and give it time. It will…

Westerville here! Go bucks!

That's amazing.....I went through the same transformation. What's even more amazing is since I've started on this site over 3 months ago I have only had 1 vertigo/dizzy migraine. It all came down to two things for me.......and MSG sensitivity which triggered the only vertigo spell I've had and not drinking enough water. I…

The HRM is correct but when you work out for long periods of time (60 minutes or more) you have to reduce the amount it says by how much you burned by just being alive since this is already calculated in your BMR. Take your BMR/24 and that will give you the amount you'll need to reduce it by per hour of exercise. I'm not…

How much water are you drinking everyday?
-
Polar FT4.....love it.
-
You put all your info (Weight, Age, Height) into a HRM as well. THe HRM is going to be more accurate than the machine given the method that your pulse is taken (chest strap versus hand). I would disagree with most, MFP in almost all instances has been within 10% of what my HRM is saying.

Donuts........specifically the sour cream timbits. If I eat one, it's all over.
-
Great job.......I haven't been there in 10 years but I'm only 5 lbs away.
-
Fage is my favorite as well. Pretty low sugar and very high protein. The plain has around 20grams of protein......I then mix some fresh fruit in.
-
How much water a day are you drinking......if I get headaches, which used to be daily, I was not drinking enough. Caffeine also has a mild diuretic effect which might not be helping if you aren't drinking much water to begin with. Drinking more water (12-16 cups a day), eliminating diet soda, limiting coffee intake to 2…

Great job and great attitude as always!

MFP's numbers are always a little lower than what my FT-4 HRM says. During a normal elliptical session (30 minutes) I burn around 540 calories with an average hr of 160. I'm 6'3", 208 and 33 yrs old.......does this sound right?

Stronglifts is pretty good and easy to follow. Free iphone app as well to track it.
-
I would add sodium and potassium to the tracked list. I try to get as much potassium as I do sodium at minimum and keep the sodium below 2000mg for the day......I shoot for 1700-1800. When I first starting to keeping track of salt I was consuming more than 4-5 times the daily recommended amount. Water retention is a killer…

-Fage Greek 0% Yogurt has 22 grams of Protein -Lots of Chicken, Bell & Evans Organic is my favorite....around 25 grams a piece -Sirloin or Filet (Grass Fed) -Grouper, Tilapia, Wild Salmon -95%/ 5% Lean beef -Almonds & Walnuts -Swiss Cheese -Eggs
-
Usually a sirloin, filet or salmon (grilled, no seasonings) with a veggie. I also ask them how many ounces the meat was so I can track.

Please don't take this the wrong way...... If you want the scales lower you need to recommit. You can't expect to eat Arby's, Little Caesar's, Cheescake Factory and lose weight because you workout. If you want to change your life, you need to change your lifestyle. You need to completely revamp your eating…

Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat......fat takes up more space than muscle but they weight they same. Your food diary is not too good......lots of Pizza, chips, ice cream, almost all processed food. It's what your eating that's causing your problem. Limit the bad stuff, add more fresh clean foods, stay within your calorie…

That's awesome.......things like that put life into perspective quickly. Man I hate cancer.

I'd give the stronglifts 5x5 program. 3 exercises a session with 5 sets of 5, 3 times a week while increasing 5 lbs each new session. There's only a total of 5 types of lifts......it's really helping me. Your title should say "Lift heavy lose body fat".........that's why you want to strength train especially when your on a…
