Just ran a 90 day report to check since carbs aren't something I track and it looks like I average around 200-250 grams a day. With exercise, I usually eat somewhere between 1600 and 2000 calories so, percentage-wise, I'm getting about half or a little more of my calories from carbs... but normally those would be healthy…

Eh... I don't even track my sugar. I stay away from high-fructose corn syrup or refined sugar and don't worry about it. Unless you're diabetic, as long as your sugars are at least predominantly coming from healthy places (milk, fruit, etc), a bowl of Kashi cereal won't hurt. At least it's real food from the earth rather…

I don't get why the "muscle weighs more than fat" thing is so heavily disputed. Of course a pound of muscle doesn't weigh more than a pound of fat, just like a pound of bricks weighs the same as a pound of feathers, but I guarantee the feathers will take up a LOT more room. We're talking about density, volume, amount of…

Seriously? Drugs don't make us healthier?! Man-made chemically-altered junk is hard on our livers?! No way....

I've wondered the same thing. Or if I'm way over one day, should I not eat my exercise calories the next day? I've noticed if I have an over day, I have a ton of energy to exercise the next day and I'm not hungry for all my exercise calories. I mean it's not like at midnight your body completely resets and isn't affected…

This is purely anecdotal since I'm not sure the "whys" behind it, but personally, I'm always up the next morning after strenuous exercise. So I take the next day and eat the right amount of calories and just do normal daily activity (no formal exercise) and I'm down the next morning. Do you take rest days?

Yeah I have as my starting weight on here 185 pounds but my heighest weight was 235 before I lost 86 pounds doing weight watchers. Joined MFP to get back on track after putting on 30 over the past 3 years.

Oh man... doesn't that feel AWESOME!!!! Congratulations! Keep up the great work!

Do you enter your weight and age in on the machine?

I believe coconut milk is always grayish... always has been when I've bought a can of it...?

That's great! I'm at about 170 right now and the longest run I've completed (non-stop, no walking) is 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. I would LOVE to work up to a 5k. My best friend just started running with me which makes me SUPER excited... so I'm hoping we can build up to that 5k together!

We named our kitten Carl. But we're random like that. The name most obvious to me for him would be....... OREO of course!!! lol Mmm... oreos....

I eat them. Except on rare occasions where I've gone walking with my best friend later in the evening and don't get home till it's too late to eat all the calories I burned. But normally, eat every one of them!

Best advice I can give you is set your calorie goal to lose 1.5 pounds per week, and eat all your calories including exercise calories, but don't go over. Eat balanced (inc complex carb and protein) mini-meals all through the day... like 6 times a day. Consume NO aspartame and try to eat all whole foods. This makes me lose…

Wow... that takes away everything I want to ingest during TOM. Ugh. :explode:

If you cook it long enough it is very similiar to al dente pasta. Make sure you spray it with some oil and sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic on it before you bake it. Yummo. Hmm... i should really pick up a spaghetti squash now that I think about it....

It really doesn't taste as sweet or as coconutty as you would think. It SMELLS very coconutty which is a little deceiving, but when I cook with it, it makes things neither sweet nor taste like coconut. Give it a try!

Good for you! It's awesome when we keep growing, keep learning, and try to do the best we can with the knowledge we've acquired thus far. What a great thing to teach your child that when you learn better, you change and do better and live the best life you can live starting immediately! That's awesome! :flowerforyou:

Honestly I would say it's probably a little of all of those things. Also the weather and what I've eaten in the previous 12 hours has an effect on how long I can last. When it's hot and humid, I just can't get as far (about passed out when I tried to push myself in the heat one evening.... not fun:sick: ) and if I haven't…

If you put 4 tablespoons of cream in, it totals 240 calories. Whip it in your magic bullet and the total contents will be 240 calories.... so if you're using *1/4 of the contents of your magic bullet* on your strawberries, you're adding 60 calories. But whipped it will fill up more space than th 4 Tbsp you put in. Get what…

I get mine at my organic grocery. Go for RAW unrefined extra virgin coconut oil in my opinion. It's wonderful as a facial or body moisturizer, perfect as a replacement for shortening in recipes (makes cookies taste better than shortening ever could), good for popping popcorn on the stove in, and I grease pans with it. I…

I had teenagers with me coming home from bible camp and we stopped at my old school that was having a fair-type event. They had these giant inflatables with huge slides and obstacle courses so of course we had to play on them and race eachother. Oh my goodness... i've never had such a fun workout in my life! It was…

I actually graduated highschool at about 225... SOOOOOO glad those are days gone by! Hello 160s!

Yay for cinnamon!!! Mmmm...

Nope... it comes off wherever it wants to.. just gotta keep going til it eventually comes off everywhere. But I'm in the exact same boat. Ugh It's like seriously? Leave the fat on my belly but take it from my chest... THAT's attractive. But alas.... like I said... if we keep losing fat, it HAS to start coming off the…

Fruit sugar is not the same as refined white sugar. There are also sugars in milk and vegetables as you noted. If it's naturally occuring sugar in whole foods, my vote is don't worry about it. I don't even track my sugar... I just eat whole foods.

I thought that too!

1. Find a local farm. Google "eat local <your city,St>" 2. Try eating one meal a day that doesn't come from a box or can... things that grew from the earth. 3. Ignore the past couple weeks (out of town and recovering) but before then, check out my food diary for whole foods options. I eat pretty clean and have to be able…
