Your food diary for today says you're under your calories. :drinker: Great job! All those veggies are good for you too! The beans and corn salsa are the healthy parts of mexican foods! :glasses:

Not sure... but try nutritiondata.com. It's my back-up for looking up calories on stuff.

That pic is ADORABLE! And mine's my besties and me. Dee on the right and Kathleen on the left. Both of them are on MFP but no longer active. And the why is because I like the picture.

Not working... I think you have to change the IMG to little letter or vice versa... something like that. I've never done it but seen people talking about it

I agree with dclarsh - nothing's "off limits". You just can't eat a whole loaf of bread, stick of butter, and 5 chocolate bars every day and lose weight (or be anything resembling healthy... ) I think for those of us who have dealt with serious weight issues (more than 10-15 pounds) we lose touch with our bodies and…

I walk alone 95% of the time, always with my cell phone, and mostly in my quiet little neighborhood, but sometimes on the railroad tracks that go in and out of the woods, or wherever I find myself working that day on my lunch hour. I was attacked by a couple bulldogs once, bitten by one of them... not bad... just enough to…

Thanks for everybody's feedback!:flowerforyou:

Got ya. Not trying to be a jerk or anything... just skeptical with internet stuff. :)

Good to know. I need to check out Greenlife and Earthfare. (My local organic grocers)

This is the 2nd person I've seen mention Shakeology in the past half hour.... and their MFP userID is always in the url... did they just release a bunch of salesman onto MFP...?

Yay for ingredient lists! Do you order yours offline or buy it somewhere?

Aw I know how that feels! I woulda cried with you too! Congratulations!

Sometimes QUALITY of friends is more important than quantity... and you have some *quality* friends, Casper!

As far as counting as a serving of grains, yes. 1 cup is 2 servings of grains/starches, if you're trying to stick to the food pyramid. But a cup of pasta when eaten as an entree is a normal serving size.

So the bad news is your husband is right.... the GOOD news is that you DIDN'T have 1000 calories in one measly little cup of sauce and pasta! :flowerforyou:

"What? That it's nutritionally the same as sugar? And it's fine in moderation?" Silly HFCS ads...

True. But numerous studies have proven the benefits of eating whole foods (think: fruits and vegetables which are recommended by every health group and government organization in the world), so I'd rather eat foods God put here than the chemical combinations people have come up with.

Stevia is a natural herb which may have several health benefits, so yep! Good choice! Splenda is basically cholorinated sugar (molecularly-altered man-made substance) whereas God made Stevia. The ONLY POSSIBLE adverse effect that I've come across in my studies is one test several years ago that suggests stevia may inhibit…

Yeah I really think the low-fat AND low-carb diets took people in a bad direction. HEALTHY fats and HEALTHY carbs that are natural whole foods are really important to good health.

If you register at stoneyfield.com, you can print coupons for stoneyfield!

I just finished some chobani strawberry! But I have to say, if you love the chobani, try fage... it's A-MA-ZING! Just a little too expensive for me to buy all the time. :frown:

It's better uncooked because of the previously mentioned low smoke point turning it rancid. And incidentally, coconut oil is a *natural* saturated fat (worlds apart from trans fats and man-made substances or even animal fat) with many health *benefits* in it's raw unrefined state. Check out the research on it sometime.…

That's really interesting! I might try it sometime!

Definitely count them (as everybody else has said...) but also it's good if you're tracking any nutrients like calcium, vitamin A, Iron, Vitamin C, etc. Since they have calories, and you're tracking calories, it's inconsistent to not log them. As someone reminded me once, the calories still count (have an effect on your…

How do you wash dry clean only clothes in a bathtub?

I didn't read all of the other posts, but have to mention southersavers.com - my sister spends $150 a month for her whole family on groceries including their specialty needs like goat milk using "extreme couponing" tactics. Other than that, I highly recommend dried beans (like a dollar for a pound and cook up a huge…

I think with exercises it only shows up for the person who added it, not like food.

Yikes. How does that much drive thru help you save money? There are lots of cheap, minimum prep groceries to keep on hand. Sandwich bread and meat and lettuce and tomato and mustard, salad stuff (baby romaine or baby spinach packs, cucumbers, artichoke hearts, chickpeas, feta cheese  , baby carrots... you get the…

There's a saying - if you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting. You don't like where you are. So do something you like. Do what makes you happy. Eating bad food and too much of it is making you miserable. Make your food diary public and log everything. Send some friend requests…

Protein has been my big question. I'm not a big meat-eater normally, but I have such a terrible time getting enough protein. How do veggies do it?
