Sometimes I don't bother with the lettuce or spring mix - but I do the dressing, peppers, tomatoes, sesame seeds - whatever. But I also stopped tracking walking the dog since it didn't seem to be exercise.

I have a pretty good idea of clothes and styles that look good on my now. I have to admit that I often buy the appropriate size (or that I hope is the appropriate size) and try it on at home. Also, like Sardesc, I am buying more on-line.

I agree with the first person. I can try to give up potato chips [my kryptonite] cold turkey but there is no way that translates to my commitment to my hubbie. You have to be supportive. Don't be a creep and try to get her to drink wine with you. Drink your small glass of wine and bring her a big glass of ice water.

No. Or as someone pointed out, the vibranium shield. I may be biased as well.

Definitely for a snack - not as a cereal - but it does satisfy the chocolate craving. Compare to Praeventia cookies with 140 cal and 8g of sugar per serving. Lindt 65% chocolate with 180 cal and 9g of sugar per 3 squares. I can usually get by with 1 Lindt square when I have a chocolate craving so that would be better.

Woohoo! Good for you!

Accepted! (and thanks for the motivation)

I was excited when McDonalds brought out the Big Mac.

Hurray! No death spiral of shame! Sustainable eating! Responsible treat-having! You are ready to be a grownup. Congratulations, this is a huge accomplishment to have a positive relationship with food.
-
No. I find it too easy to fall back in to bad habits and 'this doesn't really count' eating. I have no will power.
-
What a great way to think about it. Thanks! And congratulations.

I had the sliding problem a lot because I sweat so much (my instructor is kind enough to say that it's because I'm breathing properly). I got one of those suede-like towels to go over the mat and problem solved.

That's fantastic! Well done.

I think the most mild that you can be is to say, "I don't appreciate that kind of joke / comment / ignorant remark." But it still takes a lot of guts to say it. Unfortuantely a lot more than it takes to say the ignorant remark apparently.

It's nice when people notice. Good job!

Kashi Go Lean has 13 g of protein in 1 cup and then some skim milk for more protein. Comes in at about 250 cal. You'll need a morning snack though. Personally I like it better than the Go Lean Crunch which has less protein and more calories.

Mine has been people telling me how great I look. With 50th looming, it feels extra good.

Yeah, I've gotten the "Are you o.k. healthwise?" and the "You don't need to lose any more." Meanwhile on the doctor's scale, I'm still overweight. Nice to know that I carry it well but I can't let it determine my actions. Congrats on the noticable change, BTW!

Yeah, I think if he was willing to overlook that, I might have given him another chance.

We get an organic delivery every 2 weeks which is pretty much enough to keep us in fruit and vegetables. Luckily a local, organic butcher opened near us and we buy from there when we can afford it.

"No really, I used to be fat."

Some good, expensive clothes. I've got a Ralph Lauren suit from 20 years ago that fits again and looks fantastic so I'm planning on some new clothes like that. No more cheap, disposable crap in case my weight fluctuates. I'm going to keep this body and I can dress it well.

Wow! What a gorgeous couple!

I kept them for a year because I was scared of gaining it back. I've just finished packing them up to donate them to goodwill. Maybe I'll keep one pair of pants for that motivating gap that we see in the Success pictures.
