Here's a good calorie calculator: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ And here's another really interesting MFP group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3817-eat-more-to-weigh-less

When I did BR i was actually in maintenance but I wanted to share something I learnt while I did my 30DS, which is a similar routine. I stuck to 1200 cals, sometimes eating exercise calories back, sometimes not. Looking back I think I are too few calories, and nowhere near enough protein. Yes the weight was coming off at…

I always have protein powder, yes. I found upping my protein was key in me getting a better looking body. When I did my shred I think I ate too few calories and not enough protein which left me still looking "skinny fat". The weight was coming off but I was losing muscle mass.. And things looked saggy. Reasons for why…

Welcome to all the members I have not yet said hello to! Ill health has meant I've not been around much for the last few weeks.
-
I'm just starting week 5 and I'm loving it! Feel free to add me!
-
There's a few good examples here: http://www.buzzfeed.com/jessicamisener/17-mesmerizing-before-after-photoshop-gifs The madonna one is especially surprising!

^ Same as that! Very noticable changes - it's all about those inches girl!!!! Well done.

Hi, i'm just finishing up week 3 of TF.. and i too LOVE this program! I have sent you a friend request :)
-
Welcome to the group everyone! Enjoy your body revolution journey - Jillian makes a habit out of kicking your butt, but she does it totally out of love!

I did 17 days of Insanity. It deserves it's title, it is some crazy *kitten* cardio but it is do-able. I left Insanity to do BR because i found it to be so DULL. I didn't like the feel of the workouts at all and it became a chore to do. Everyone's different though, i have friends who are progressing well with it..but…

It took me a good couple of weeks to decide on what to do next. After committing to such a long program i had a little play around with some other JM's - No more troubles zones, Banish fat boost metabolism and six week 6 pack - but missed being in a dedicated program. At first i considered doing ChaLEAN Extreme (CLX)...…

I'm doing Turbofire also - I've just started week 2 and i'm LOVING it!! Free free to add me!
-
Thanks for all the replies, I decided to go with Turbofire as standalone program while I save up for some adjustable weights. I think they will make my CLX journey easier. I'm loving TF! It's great fun, and I'm happy to discover that it's not purely cardio!!

Thanks for your replies, I decided to go with turbofire as a stand alone program while I save up for some adjustable weights. I'm thinking they will make my CLX journey easier!

I've recently finished BR and really enjoyed the program. My results weren't as amazing as others doing the program (as i'm in maintenance and only concentrating on BF% and toning) but i have seen great progress within my BR support group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/10436-jillian-michaels-body-revolution-2013…

I've done 30 day shred but i would say try Jillian Michaels 6 week 6 pack! it did amazing things for me in 6 weeks! Take a look in my profile pics for my before, during and after shot. If i remember correctly there's only about 8lb difference in my weight, but i think it looks like more. All the best!
-
Hi, i'm a newbie to Turbofire - currently 4 days in. I have sent you a friend request.... Let's do this!!
-
I did 6 week 6 pack and had great results, but this was still with the calorie deficits as mentioned above. I was in weight loss mode when i did it... I have a picture in my profile if you would like to see my "before", "during" and "after" shots.

A very big warm welcome to all the new members, apologies for not saying hello sooner! Thanks for joining our BR group, i hope it serves as a useful tool on your journey to achieving your goals! Good luck!

Yes! I have a Protein shake straight after my workout. Not only does it boost that all important Protein intake, it also fills in my missing cals if i'm struggling to hit target... oh and it prevents me raiding the fridge if i feel famished after a tough workout! I recommend you always read the nutritional label to find a…

Hi Ginoo! Welcome! I don't think it's crazy, I think it's somehow mentally motivating to start something new at the beginning of a brand new month! It's like a new "chapter" Good luck on your BR journey!
-
Stacey, I just noticed the dates on your pics... They're 5 months apart. Did you do an extended Body Revolution program?
-
Thank you Stacey. I wouldn't say I was "disappointed" with my numbers, I skimmed a little off so I'm happy. I may not have LOST much as far as ins and lbs go, but that's unimportant to me personally, it was never my aim, I feel like I have GAINED in so many other ways. My ONLY disappointment is that my chunky thighs have…

Ok, well i finished my Body Revolution journey yesterday, and although my results do not compare with those of the fantastic Staceypunk, i thought i would still share them as i think it would be a useful insight to have results from someone who is in maintenance compared to someone who is looking for weight loss. Since…

Welcome to the craziness of cardio 3! Side plank burpees are designed to work your obliques as you kick your legs out to the sides... Regular burpees wouldn't have the same effect, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do them! I'm trying to think of an alternative cardio move that works the obliques but I'm struggling!…
-
Lol stacey, My results aren't going to be anywhere near as dramatic as yours as i'm in maintenance and my BR has been about "fine tuning" more than anything else. I really miss having the major changes like i had during 30DS, RI30 and 6W6P but as it's BF% i'm working on, i've read this takes time and effort...and lots of…

Hey JJ. Love this: I find it very difficult to justify skipping a 30 minute workout that is already doing what I need it to do. That's what keeps me going. If it's working, then why stop? So very true!! Welcome to the group!
