Hi, I have been eating lchf for a number of years now - my formula is 1600-1700 calories. 21g carb (5%) 151g fat (80% and 64g protein (15%). A really helpful site is this one http://ketodietapp.com/Blog/page/Start-Here I also use Myfitnesspal to enter my daily meals and recipe information. Best of luck :)

Just a quick note: After noodles have been rinsed out they are still very wet .. if you place them in the microwave for about four (4) minutes (longer if you prefer - but first check) they will dry out and are then better for sauce type dishes such as carbonara, bolognaise, etc.

HI, So sorry to get back to you so late. I am on a low carb high fat diet (lchf) and I use the coconut oil for cooking, or for drinking in my black coffee. Coconut oil has lots of really, really good fats. You can look lchf on the net to get an idea of this way of eating. Have a nice day :)

Hi AlabasterVerve, I spoke with you yesterday and you were very helpful. I was wondering whether you can give me some advice as to how, or whether someone can help me with, working out my macros. I started putting the information in the food diary and it is really confusing me. It has only given me 1200 calories. Before I…

My family always laugh at me when the waiter walks away because I have questioned him/her so much about the menu. I don't have a problem about doing this as I tell them, it's good for my health and also I am paying for a meal so I have every right to know what is going into it!

Hi kymmu, The grain free christmas cake sounds interesting! Is it carb friendly? Is there a recipe? Thanks :)

Hi Kowee84, How are you? It's always nice to meet another Aussie. Why are you here on MyFitnessPal? Any special diets or goals? I came on because I'm started the lchf lifestyle at the end of October this year and needed some advice. Boy are these people fantastic!! There was so much feedback ... very helpful I must say.

Thanks chirosche, I'll have a look at the link. It's interesting - I think I will have to cut down on some of my protein intake. I just did my food diary for tomorrow and by cutting down the amount of protein I will be having for lunch and dinner my predicted weight loss was greatly reduced.

Thanks AlabasterVerve, jonnythan and everyone else. I'll keep on weighing and filling in my diary and maybe get you guys to have a look at it in another week or so. Or, feel free to jump in if you think I'm am on the wrong track :)
