Ok, so I am close. I guess will have to pick a higher number next challenge. However, I am doing major cardio 3x a week now, with appropriate effort, meaning....getting leaner and stronger. Plus this week took 174 from 176. These last 20 lbs are going to be a interesting challenge though.

All I know is that the minute you make a move towards a healthier, happy...thinner you.......EVERYBODY and their brother seems to have something to say about it. Personally, I think they are afraid you will become competition, yeah I am positive. So there I am in the gym bathroom after my workout. Minding my own business,…

I just wanted to mention that as I read through all the running posts out there...extra kudos to you, your drive and dedication. I don't run anymore, but I am so emphatic for all of you, way to go!

Hi everyone, Using the challenge to increase endurance through Spinning (pedaling way too fast) lol. Anyways went super light with a goal of 100 miles and I am quickly sneaking up on it.... Here is the ticker and irregardless of the miles I still feel challenged and I will just wait and see what goal would have been more…

Ok, here is the corrected ticker. 46 miles at 16 miles per day for Mon, Wed and Friday.

Think I will have to raise the bar significantly next month...but I am super happy with where I am now.

It really sounds like after work, is going to leave you feeling guilty and sheepish. I get up pretty early too, 3:30 to get hubbie off and sometimes into a workout contingent on gym schedule, and he laughs all the time because it is just TOO early people. So there have been days when a fork did not make it too work or I…

Hey everyone! I was surfing the web looking for something else entirely and ran across this article from The Mayo Clinic on working into a 5K. Enjoy! http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/5k-run/SM00061

Not an expert by far, but if there is a specific area that is loose or flabby, find 3 or 4 exercises that target that area and add a 15 minute mini workout to cardio and strength training for 30 days and see if it does the trick. Experiment with a few exercises until you find 3 or 4 that you feel work best for your body…

Add me.

Ok, that is probably it for me this week, as I struggled through this mornings class. Wishing you all amazing runs, bikes, swims this week and will rendezvous with everyone next week. Thanks for all your encouragement.

Testing my Ticker!
-
Ok, so averaging a 3 minute mile calculation for spinning class, which is 50 minutes. I have completed 16.5 miles of 50. 33.5 left. Although we push it pretty hard in Spin, I understand that it is not the same as road cycling, but I will take it. If feel so guilty...air conditioning, lack of road hazards, idiots and all.…

I am in. Will look at making a ticker.... Using spinning as a medium for being healthier and more fit. So I will probably have to find a mile average for my 50 minute classes, which are pretty fast paced. Any suggestions for what my average cycling mile per minute would look like?!?!

Reading your post. Great accomplishment...keep up the good work.
-
Add me too. New, but looking to be stronger, leaner, and fit.

I have got the same stubborn tricep area and it doesn't matter what I post either. The message is slow getting through. I picked up some tricep exercises via utube that have toned things up a bit and some arm and chest exercises that are creating the upper body I want, but slow sure does seem to be the thing with upper…

My ultimate goal is 150 and I would sure like to lose 12 lbs, by January 1st 2014! I know I have got the weight to lose at 177, with no butts. What I need is a whole lot of faithfulness. Any thoughts on getting it done?

Feels good not to be on the knees, huh!

I could not bend over and put my palms on the ground in front of me. My flexibility has increased and continues to increase! Oh yes, and there is a pair of gym shorts that were tight, but now they fit nicely. And my fav pair....had to take the tie on the band in a little. It is so exciting...thanks MVP...your program is so…

I am looking for support and encouragement too. Shy away a little from over competitiveness but really enjoy sharing goals, failures and successes with others my age. I am 46, completely committed to my goal of 150 and maintenance. Add me if you want.

Ok here goes. Sw190 Cw181 Gw 150 9/2-182 9/9-181 Finding it difficult as I build and tone muscle to lose a pound week over wee , but not giving up. I need to really crack down on my snacking, although usually healthy, it is still in those pesky 10 here 40 there, that will keep me from lb over lb. So....wishing everyone in…

My problem is the hidden sugars in food, that and the hidden salt are killing me!
-
Difficult, real difficult. What I have found to be helpful is smaller potions...then graduate yourself onto a different healthier food. Try not to give up, it'll happen.

Sure, think I already responded last night, however want to make sure added to the group. Any advice on making this a group on the web page?

I have actually heard that a blow it day is a good thing. Just gotta watch not making the whole week a blow it week.
-
Oh yes...favorite exercise in the fall...would have to be spin class!

 I would love to lose 5lbs this month. Sw 190 Cw 182 Gw 150 My weight is coming off, but of course I secretly hope that it would come off quicker. My biggest challenge is working out for 60 minutes m-f and fueling my body correctly and still being able to lose weight. If you have any similar experience...would love to…
